"Then let's go there and end this together. You can't take down the rest of them on your own," Dan said as he led the way upstairs. Marx put the helmet back on and followed Dan.
Dan had two pairs of gun everytime. Two which he alway used and the two that were always on his waist. Marx watched the back of Dan and it was then that he realized that Dan's steps were silent. Too silent.
Even if he walked behind, him he would never hear his footsteps. The steps were also following a certain pattern that made it appear like he was not touching the ground. Marx realized that this was probably the same technique that he had used earlier after leaving his house.
He hurried and his steps made a pop sounds and Dan stopped to look at him. Marx smiled sheepishly inside the mask and activated Halo Steps. He made sure that his steps were one centimeter above the ground.
Dan suddenly felt that Marx was no longer behind him. He glanced back and saw the Marx walking right behind him. His steps were too quiet. If Marx did not have the helmet, one could see the triumphant smile as he followed Dan.
But Marx realized that he could not always depend on the system. He had to find things out on his own. He needed to be invincible even without the system's boost. If people like Dan could be this strong without a system, then they would be gods if they got one.
Marx realized that with everything he had, he could probably become the most powerful person if he utilized all that he had to the fullest. He had the cube's energy inside him in a way he could not understand and also he had the system boosts that were supposed to make him stronger.
If he could stop using the system skills for some time and focused on developing his own self, he was sure that he could easily raise his stats. He had seen Dan's work with the pistols and he had come to like it.
If he could ask Dan for training, maybe he would be able to charge forward at bullets without fearing anything.
"Hey, how do you manage to charge at incoming bullets yet none of them touches you?" Marx asked and Dan stopped.
"It appears easy but you cannot do it as easy. I don't just charge at the bullets blindly. The bullets can't just reach me because I shoot them before they can reach me," Dan said and took the corner at the stairs.
Marx could be said that his actions were suicidal but it was obvious which was more suicidal. Charging at bullets in hope that you could stop them by shooting them. Not to mention that he was charging at people using machine guns while he was using a pistol.
Just how much accuracy was required to achieve this feat? Not just accuracy but also speed in both you hands and eyes. Also he knew that the mags were usually depleted. Just how fast was he when changing them that it appeared like his pistols had infinite bullets?
To accomplish that feat, not only courage was required, but also faith in one self. One had to be confident that even if his bullets got depleted, he could still use his speed to evade the bullets.
Marx followed closely and too took a corner and surprisingly, there were no guards waiting at the stairs.
"Don't worry of traps. Those in the fifth floor cannot hear what is going on in the earlier floors. It is also possible that they do not know that they are under attack.
"They usually have faith in all the guards in the lower floor and they do not even let any distraction including communication devices. All we have to do now is to wipe'em out. Your man is the one doing the transaction today. Don't you think that you are lucky?" Dan asked cheerfully.
" Some things happen by luck but some thing happen from our doings. This is not luck but it is our efforts paying off," Marx said and they arrived at the last step.
" You know what kid? You are no fun," Dan said sluggishly.
They now stood at the verandah of left wing where the transaction was taking place. The fifth floor was usually a warehouse. Marx and Dan stood at the entrance of the locked warehouse.
"Any ideas?" Dan asked and Marx was thoughtful for a while and nodded.
"Let's get back a few meters," he said and Dan obliged. From the time he had stopped underestimating the kid, he took his words seriously.
"With 180⁰ can I blow the door and leave the building intact?" Marx asked and the system seemed to calculate for a second.
Marx sighed and realized that the system wanted him to blow the wall away. He chuckled as the gun appeared on his hands. He then tuned to 360⁰ and took more steps backwards. Dan made sure that he was behind Marx with a few meters.

The inside was spacious and there were hundred of boxes that were covered with a black sheets. One could not make out what was inside but the boxes were wooden. There were bulbs above the ceiling which was more than 20 meters high.
The boxes were the dominant occupants of the building but one could see the scattered bullets and magazines. Also at a distance, one could see pistols or machine guns. It was now obvious what was probably inside these boxes.
There were then men clad in black suits. They were two meters away from each other near the walls. They had their legs apart slightly and their hands clasped forward. Many of them had pistols on their hands.
Others were holding machine guns and they had their fingers on the trigger. The number of these men increased and then at the front, there were around 202 men.
Two of them were seated on chairs on the opposite sides of each other and there were two briefcases on the table. The two men were dressed in black suits but they were easy to make out as more expensive than the rest of them.
This was not to mention that these men had black sunglasses which could make one wonder why wear the black glasses at night. The man on the right had a white briefcase and the other man had a blue briefcase.
The man on the right surprisingly had 190 men behind him. They all had their weapons ready. It seemed that these two men who were the leaders were not in good books of each other.
The other man on the left had only ten guards. Surprisingly, they just stood there casually staring around and just smiling. They did not have their weapons ready at all and they had a slightly higher presence than the ones on the right thus they stood out.
The two men at the table were still silent. Like they both were holding their breaths. It was obvious that if one of them said the wrong thing, a fight would break out.
"Why is it you Miller? Had I know that it was you I would not have taken this job," the guy on the left said. His head was bald and canopy but his build was wide. Even his head seemed to be connected with the chest without a neck. He had chubby cheeks and his suit was tight.
He sat leaning on the chair such that it was like he was just standing straight with his legs straight rather than sitting down. There were gold ornaments on him like watches and chains. When he spoke, his words came out in a lazy manner and hoarsely.
The other guy called Miller was no different. It was only that he did not wear gold but diamond. He had beards that hid his mouth. He was even chubbier than the other guy as his skin was in seams.
He too had a lazy appearance and was seated the same way as the other man. The only difference was that he was wider than the other man and he was having a hard time fitting on the chair he was sitting on.
"Martinely. I have the same feeling as you! Why did it have to be you? It is better we end this transaction fast. It feels suffocating to breath the same air as you," Miller sneered but the man Martinely was not riled up too much.
"I should be the one saying that. You are taking up all the air in the room such that I can feel my body is exhausted from the lack of enough air. You really have the guts to say that you are suffocating while I am the one doing so," Martinely said with the same tone.
" You are lucky today that this transcation must go through or else we would have to fight each other. Take this as me letting you off the hook," Miller said and his glasses seemed to flash with a white light.
" I see. You feminine attitude still takes control over you. I think the world would be a better place with you being a woman," Martinely said and Miller was riled up. He slapped the table and grit his teeth. He needed a comeback.
" I see that it is not only you as***le that is still wide but your mouth has become even wider. I bet that it has perfected in doing blowjobs," Miller said and laughed. It was certain that his insult had worked.
Martinely was riled up now. He clenched his fist and punched at the table but he did no damage at all. His eyes flashed with a white light as he prepared for his comeback.
"I wonder if your pin sized cock is still visible. I bet that it has been hidden by all that plump flesh you are carrying," Martinely said and laughed while clapping his hands. Even his men behind him laughed at his words. Of his men, three were ladies.
"Very well very well. I see that you are forgetting the reason you had to do the blowjobs and get fucked is because that sand grain sized cock of yours could never awaken. I hope that you have worked on it. I really would love to play with it again," Miller said and laughed.
One could not believe what these grown men were talking about. They were shameless reavealing their secrets in public like this. That could even be termed as foolish and hypocritical.
Martinely stood up and banged his fist on the table and there was a bang. He had a pleased smile as he had broken the table...
