She took several turns on her way. Her steps appeared slow but yet fast. One would expect to find vehicles but having one was a luxury only given to the nobles.
What remained to be used were bikes and electric trains. Planes were replaced with teleportation stations. One could think that with all those planets conquered, it was okay to return to use of petroleum fuel.
This was layman way of thinking for since hydrogen engine which was environmental friendly and powerful at the same time, petroleum was no longer useful. Though, that did not mean that these resources were not mined.
It was not shocking to find a planet with 80%of its surface to have petroleum. It was even at a point they found a planet that had 99% gold on it. The same way soil was available on earth, with a scoop, one could have a handful of gold on their palm.
Well, if this information about the planet was revealed to the public, no one could know how many would leave their abodes to go and get even the handful...
There were tons of information that were kept far from the public. Whatever happened in a planet, it was easy to reach another one but as long as the information did not reach a large number and it was supposed to probably cause chaos, it would deleted and dismissed as conspiracy theories.
Thus one could hear of conspiracy theory like there were otherworldly human like creatures that were a threat. People would laugh them off and continue with other conversations.
This just proved how much faith everyone put on the empire. They had utmost faith in it. As long as it was not confirmed by the empire it was just any information. Even when there was once an attack in a planet in one of its city, the attackers had very different machines from those of the empire.
People spread rumours and recorded videos but when the empire came in, it was 'realized' that it was but the opposing terrorist group. It was formally known as The Resistance but they were branded as terrorists.
This had put the people at ease after the terrorists were killed. Its correct to say that the empire treated its people kindly and fairly. Even The Resistance could not find fault at it easily.
This showed just how hard it was to get people to join the organization. These were the ones who used to send the videos about the otherworlders but they were used as a means of entertainment rather than enlightment.

The girl finally arrived at one large building. It had a large name on it she did not even try to read. It was not as large though it was just ten storeyed, it was difficult to find a building that exceeded 30 floors. Also, not a single planet had floating cities.
She walked through the five meters wide main entrance that was led by a series of stairs. It was like a city hall. If one could see through her hood, they could see the unpleasant look she wore.
She stood at the side of the entrance and scanned her face on a screen that was stuck on the wall. She appeared to be displeased with everything she did. She put on the hood back and walked to the entrance.
A blue membrane like gate oppened a small space between it and she passed through it. It shut behind her and it appeared like it was clear as the air around it. She went to the stairs.
There was no use using the elevator to just climb go the first floor. She decided on the stairs for it was highly likely she would find people in the elevator and this would irritate her even more.
One could wonder what had irritated this girl this much that she did not want to meet anyone. She climbed the last flight of stairs and marched to an office. And on the first floor obviously, it was not high level one.
She did not even bother to knock. She pushed the door open and inside the office, she found a lady behind a desk and another male on the visitor's seat.
The lady smiled at her and gave an apologetic look to the guy. He was almost the age of 16 at most. One could guess that he was here to apply to join the Faction. He had an irritated look for a second but it was replaced with a smile.
"Drop that hood now!" The lady said softly but it was difficult to ignore the command. The girl clicked and hit the hood making it fall behind her on her back. They sweater was oversized such that even her hands disappeared inside the sleeves.
"Roll the sleeves," the lady spoke her command once again. The girl rolled her eyes and obliged in the end. She did not even spare the guy in the room a glance though she could feel his stare.
Her eyes were fixated on the ceiling. The lady just shook her head. The girl walked forward and placed her hands on the table. She lowered herself forward not caring about the papers she was pressing on.
She reached the lady and fixated their eyes on each other. One could not miss that they had quite a resemblance. Mother daughter pair? Probably not.
"Aunt! How long do you plan to keep me away from training? You know that I was qualified since the time I arrived," she lashed out at her aunt who lifted her hand and with the index finger, she raised the girl's chin.
"I know how you feel but it seems that I can't stop you anymore. Fine, today you start your training. Go together with Raven to the top floor and commence on your goal," the lady, her aunt, said sweetly.
The girl glanced at the guy and noticed his black hair and brown eyes. His looks were top notch above most men she had encountered. She just gave him one glance and looked away back to her aunt.
Any girl in their right mind could drool over him but she was not even attracted. Her aunt smiled at her reaction. She raised her hand and patted her blue hair. Both had blue hair and eyes and were beauties that would cause men to chase after them.
The girl slapped the hand away. She had a smile on her face she was trying to suppress. Her aunt pinched her cheek gently. She then picked a card that was on the desk and handed it to the guy Raven.
Raven picked the card and left for the top floor. When the guy left, the girl stood back and jumped happily. The reason for her anger recently was because of her aunt refusing her to start training.
But now she had gotten her chance. This was the third month and all she had been doing was being sent to read books in the library. She sat on the rotating seat and swinged herself round. She opened her hands and the sleeves unrolled themelselves and her hands were swallowed once again.
One might have seen her as a spoiled little girl who could not do much but throw a tantrum when things did not go her way. That was wrong, this girl was Mia, the daughter of the previous user of Entropy Seeker.
How could a mother who was high on top fail to train her daughter? If her stats were to be rated at the moment, more would land on at 1... 1 appears as too low but who knew? Some never got to reach their stats to 1. Many started with their stats at 0.4 at most.
One had go remember how strong Marx was even when most of his stats were below 1.
The only stats that were missing in these classification was only intelligence. Her aunt knew that her niece was ahead of others. It was not like she did not want her niece to start her training but it was just that she did not want her to end up as her sister.
After what happened to her sister, she just lowered herself as a worker. Though, if her stats were rated, they were above 13. The reason she was here was because she had come to fulfil her promise and take care of her sisters daughter. She wiped the tear that was threatening to fall.
Though Mia knew that her mother had been murdered, she did not know the details. She was starting at the low so that she could learn the truth she refused to tell her then get her mom revenge.
She was supposed to help and support her but she had tried to cut off that route. She also had taken this job in order to look after her niece. No Faction would fail to take her with her stats that exceeded those of their top officers.
Mia was approaching her sixteenth birthday in a few months. She finally stopped her celebration for getting the promotion and took off after thanking her aunt for allowing her to start her career.
Mia slammed the door behind her and ran towards the stairs. She did not know that in the mind of Raven, she was but a spoiled girl who all she could do was throw a tantrum when she faced a challenge. But could she care about all these? Not a chance. As long as she proved herself with action, what she did would turn out to be fighting for her rights.
She rushed to the stairs and climbed running. If her aunt saw her, she would tell her to stop running on the stairs. But she was too eager to start her training and get sent to missions out there any time soon...
