Human beings had once again proven to be on top of the foodchain. In the year 3112, an organization called New Future was formed. It was a governent project that took trillions to complete.

In the year 3100, all countries signed a Non Agression Pact and all became united as one world. Technologically, they had somehow managed to bring all continents together as it was in the pangea. Its name was Pangea Empire.

The entire planet was now a Monarch. An Emperor ruled over Earth and the countries remained as kingdoms headed by kings. The countries would act independently but could not defy orders from the Emperor.

After the Pact was signed, all countries used almost 90% of their budget on this project under the Royal Decree. The project took twelve years to be completed and it was finally time to launch it.

The Emperor and ten kings were present in a room. There were other important Dukes and the scientists incharge of the project. The project had cost lots of money and its failure could lead to their death.

There was a large screen infront of everyone. On the screen were blueprints. One could make out what it was from the white lines. A scientist with a pointed nose and small glasses was standing next to the screen.

"The Path Finder X, has been completed and under your orders we are ready to launch it to Mars. The Path Finder X has been equipped with all necessary technology to enable it cure the air on mars. If the first attempt is successful..." The man paused.

The atmosphere appeared tense. The scientist shivered realizing his mistake. In this project, there were no ifs. It had to be sure bet. He cleared his throat and corrected his statement.

"After we confirm that The Path Finder X works, we are going to launch the rest and we will have conquered Mars in one month. After that, we can successfully send the Alpha team to prepare Mars for habitation," the scientist spoke fast.

The Emperor and his surbordinates were all smiles. It had been their ardent desire to one day leave Planet Earth and it was going to be successful in the next few months. Then the emperor spoke.

"With the current technology, we are sure to build a city in six months. After that, we can then have the first group to depart feom earth to Mars after six month. Make sure the mission is a success."

The scientists in the room bowed and another scientist who was slightly thinner than the first spoke. He was the mastermind of the project and his name was going to be a legend in the next few years.

"We humbly request permission to launch Path Finder X," he said and the Emperor nodded. He placed his first and middle finger on the side of his head. Technology had advanced greatly and there was this amazing technology.

The Neuro Link Communication. This enabled people to speak without having to say words with their mouths. It was enabled by microchips that were implanted in the brains of those who could afford it.

After few seconds, he took a seat back and on the screen was something magnificent. In the ocean, one could see a space ship. The thing was about 200 meters long and 100 meters long. It was almost 50 meters tall.

It had 15 engines the size of a car. The side was written in blue, Space Path Finder X. It had a population of around a thousand in it. They were mainly soldier and workers. Few experts were also on board.

At first, the Path Finder X appeared to be floating on water. One could see the water on its side rumbling as if it was being boiled. Suddenly, it started lighting up. The water underneath appeared to have a blue orangish glow.

Then, something like an explosion sounded after five minutes. The water was blown away ike a real explosion but the splendid part. The Path Finder X was moving at a speed inconceivable.

As it was viewed, one could confuse it to be tearing through the air. It appeared like it was going to disappear at any moment. In less than ten seconds, it was already outside the Earth's atmosphere and in five minutes it was already in space.

It appeared to have stagnated but its engine glow changed to reddish brown. It was no longer traceable with the normal eyes or satellites in space. Only a blue dot could be seen on the screen.

Its speed appeared to cover hundreds of kilometers in one second. To think that it was possible to move at that speed just proved how much money had been spent on the project.

In ten minutes the Path Finder X was now approaching Mars's atmosphere. The speed seemed to have reduced and it landed after one minute. There were almost twenty pairs of robotic legs that appeared on the sides of the Path Finder X as it stood five meters high.

In the room, everyone was all smiles. Mars appeared to be reddish but they had come to realize that they could react the chemicals in the air and produce oxygen. Then, they would plant genetically modified trees that would reach maturity in one week.

They then would spray them with chemicals to slow down their growth and span them to few hundred years.

"Let Phase One begin," the Emperor declared stretching his hand out.

They were not the only ones watching though. Everyone with the ability to see was watching. Ecstasy in everyone. Finally they had landed in mars! On the screens, one could see the sides of the Path Finder X opening.

Then, an uncountable number of drones was released into the atmosphere. They all appeared to explode. There were several million loud booms. The entire area appeared to be covered in a white cloud.

The entire area covered by the drones was a twenty kilometer diameter. The drones had been carrying the reaction chemicals and also seeds. It was amazing that they had calculated that after the reaction took place, there would be the release of water.

It took almost the rest of the day before everything cleared. Droplets of water fell from the atmosphere and also the red sky had cleared and was now blue. In the entire day, the trees had turned to seedlings of two feet.

The ground was now green and gave an Earth feel. Inside the control room, a large computer almost five meters long two meter high stood. It appeared like a projection but it was just a thin screen that was fitted with computer motherboards on its corners.

There were a total of five people working on it at the same time. They seemed to not speak but only nodding. But that would be a rash conclusion. They were using Neuro Link communication. They all appeared to nod every second.

There was then a drone that was released. It was supposed to scan the atmosphere. On the screen.

Planet Mars- Habitable Zone 1.

Area- 3.14x10² square kilometers.

Everyone saw the notification on the screen and there was a celebration. Pangea Empire had conquered Mars. Inside the room.

"Begin phase two," the Emperor declared once again and the ten meter wide door was opened.

Everyone who was on boeard apart from the Path Finder X's pilots and computer experts were left. The first important task was to set-up a barricade across the conquered area. This was the work of the military. In one week, a wall ten meters high had been built around a forest.

The trees were all of thirty meters and above high. It had rained once in the week! The trees had been sprayed and now their growth had stopped. During the growing period, they had been growing at a visible rate. Also they were now increasing in their diameter.

Also, a base had been constructed. Many blue prints were laid out. Areas were marked out where storeys were to be built. The trees had been planted plentifully such that they would not cut all the trees.

It was time to launch the second space ship. This one was ten times bigger than the Path Finder X. Its was almost identical only length was different. Its name was Path Seeker X. This was launched one month after the launching of the Path Finder X.

Six months later, the Emperor was live and giving detailed information about the first settlement to take place in mars. Everyone had their eyes glued on either their phones or screens. No one would want to miss such a thing...
