Chereads / The Greek Reaper / Chapter 7 - Dead Reborn

Chapter 7 - Dead Reborn

Markos cautiously and curiously made his way towards the mysterious and terrifying soldier who ended the generals life so abruptly, before he made it within a meter of the man he heard in a familiar voice, "hello Markos", stunned and in aw Markos jumped back. Dionysus stood and turned to face Markos, he slowly removed his helmet and smiled.

"I know you have so many questions Markos, I don't know how either, but we both survived, well at least at first'', Dionysus remarked before Markos could even speak, let alone open his mouth, "you can ask questions later, for now we have to prepare for our advances". The men walked back to the camp to give General Demeter the little surprise of Dionysus still breathing. While walking Dionysus told as much as he could to Markos about his whole ordeal and what he was feeling inside. After walking for some time they made it to the camp, General Demeter's demeanor changed when he saw what he believed to be a ghost at that point. Demeter had a ghostly white appearance on his face as he watched the presumed dead Dionysus.

"Well, if it isn't the dead itself? So you're the one who executed the Spartan General", Demeter remarked while gazing at Dionysus.

"It seems so General, looks like the gods can't do enough to get rid of me, the malakas".

"We should call you The Reaper if you're going to go around killing important people like that, Dionysus", squawked Markos with partial fear on his face. They all laughed with each other as Dionysus explained everything he could, General Demeter and Markos were in complete shock, with absolutely zero belief in what Dionysus had explained happened.

After a few hours of Dionysus doing his best to explain what had happened to General Demeter and Markos they finally decided it was time to begin the planning of the advance. They had planned and planned and planned when a scout came running over. He was panting and exhausted, he could not speak as if his tongue was not there, he had bloodshot eyes as if he had not closed his eyes for days, maybe even weeks, he had bruises all over his face, cuts and scrapes everywhere they could see. This lowly scout had been beaten by the enemy, and forced to run back to the camp he came from to inform the malakas commander in charge that they would surely lose any upcoming battle they fought. Markos and General Demeter looked as though they truly believed it, they had terror written all over their faces, fear embedded deep within their eyes nearly penetrating their souls. But not Dionysus, not one inch of that man showed fear, if anything he looked as though he was about to laugh, he had a very ominous look in his vicious eyes as though saying the ones who should be scared should be them.
