Wallace and Samantha arrived in front of the palace gates. The palace is a gigantic structure; the main palace itself, which had the queen's throne and the meeting room, covered a distance of almost five hundred meters, while there were villas surrounding the main palace.
The walls of the palace were golden and as tall as a main city wall. The gates were golden in color, but Wallace could tell that they had been strengthened to a terrifying degree. There were three magus guarding the gate. Magus were considered the peak of humanity because supreme mages were on a different level altogether; they had come into contact with laws, so they rarely engaged in fights, but magus were the ones who showed themselves to humans the most, so they were considered the peak of humanity. Three of them serving as guards to the main empire was simply too extravagant.
