Divine Immortal Palace, Immortal World.
"Master, please reconsider your decision!"
A young man knelt in front of the throne, his body marked by countless battles. Bruises and scars adorned his skin, each one a testament to his struggles. Even though he knelt helplessly, his aura was potent enough to suffocate the countless immortals present in the palace.
"Master, please! I beg you not to abandon me like this!" His voice trembled with desperation as he slammed his head against the ground, hoping his master would reconsider.
"Feng Yuan... Feng Yuan..." A cold, heavy, yet divine and serene voice echoed throughout the palace.
On the throne sat a young figure who seemed no older than twenty. He had a youthful face, long white hair, and serene blue eyes. His black robe, embroidered with a white dragon, contrasted sharply with his calm demeanor.
"I've already thought about it, and I won't change my decision."
The words sent waves of sadness through the countless immortals and divine figures in the palace.
Many tried to persuade him, but nothing could change his mind. He raised his hand, and with just a thought, he lifted Feng Yuan's body effortlessly.
"Feng Yuan... Don't make it seem like I won't ever come back," he said with a kind expression.
Feng Yuan, who had survived countless death battles and witnessed the deaths of his subordinates, now bore a face that looked ready to flood with tears at any moment. The sight shocked the immortals in the palace.
"Th-Then, Master, can you please listen to one request of mine?" His voice wavered with emotion.
The young figure nodded in agreement with a gentle smile. But before Feng Yuan could speak, a loud roar echoed through the palace. As everyone turned towards the source of the soul-crushing sound, their faces turned pale, and cold sweat broke out on their foreheads.
A dragon had appeared!
In countless eons and millennia, never once had a real dragon been seen in the world since the Heavenly War!
Everyone's minds were flooded with disbelief, but soon all doubts were cleared. The dragon didn't dare to fly in the presence of his master. He quietly walked towards the throne and bowed to the young figure seated on it.
The young figure smiled and asked, "Why are you here?"
"Wherever the Master goes, the disciple must follow." As soon as the dragon said this, the whole palace was shocked. The once-arrogant dragons, who waged war over the slightest damage to their honor, had recognized the Immortal Palace master as their Master.
While this was happening, a young immortal, filled with curiosity, asked another immortal about who the master was to command such strong figures.
The immortal replied with a voice trembling in fear, "No one in this palace knows what kind of existence he really is... He just appeared out of nowhere, and with just a tilt of his head, the previous Immortal Palace master was turned into nothingness! Since that day, no one has ever dared to speak to him. And today, those two figures came to the palace, and from their way of speaking, we know one thing: he's going to leave soon."
The young immortal widened his eyes in shock, unable to imagine such an existence. His legs felt as if they were about to give out...
While everyone worried about the fate of the Immortal Palace after his departure, a sudden wave of pressure forced them to leave instantly. The pressure was so intense that even the grand immortals helplessly knelt, their eyes filled with fear.
It was the young figure's doing. He had merely raised his hand, and even the immortals knelt in fear. He then smiled slightly and, with a kind expression, said in a serene voice, "I'll be leaving the palace soon. Although it has only been a millennium since I arrived, you all have served me well. As a farewell gift, I'll create a protective barrier around the palace that will only be accessible to those within and can only be broken by me."
As soon as he said this, he looked towards the roof, and a barrier formed. The barrier released an aura so frightening that even the heavens trembled.
The immortals inside were both shocked and surprised...
Feng Liang started to walk towards the door and said, "I hope you all reach Nirvana."
His words felt as if the Great Buddha himself were purifying their bodies. They began to glow and fade away, not in death, but in the attainment of Nirvana. The young figure's power was such that mere words from him helped them reach enlightenment.
They all kowtowed to him in unison as he walked towards the door, their eyes overflowing with tears of joy. Feng Yuan and the dragon quietly followed their master with smiles on their faces, genuinely happy to see the others achieving Nirvana.
All the immortals had one last wish. They instinctively asked in unison, "Supreme Master, please forgive us for acting out of line. But could you please tell us your name?"
The young figure stopped. Everyone feared they had enraged a deity. Their faces, once filled with joy, now brimmed with horror...
He looked back at them and said, "My name? It's Feng Liang."
As soon as the words "Feng Liang" reached their ears, their eyes widened in shock, and they kowtowed again, shouting in unison, "We, the Immortals of the Divine Immortal Palace, greet the Creator of this cosmos, the Eternal Sage, Feng Liang! We were honored to have served you for so long!"
They were far happier to have served the Supreme Creator of the cosmos than to have achieved Nirvana. Tears streamed down their faces.
As Feng Liang continued to walk, the doors of the Immortal Palace opened on their own, as if the palace itself had come alive upon hearing that its creator was present. He walked out of the door with Feng Yuan and the dragon.
The immortals, almost faded away, continued to kowtow in front of such supreme authority.
As Feng Liang walked away from the palace, he mumbled to himself with a kind expression, "May the Immortal Palace flourish once again."
As he spoke, the heavens began to shower the Immortal Palace with divine light, allowing the immortals inside to successfully achieve Nirvana.
Feng Liang smiled and disappeared into the divine light along with Feng Yuan and the dragon.
