(Jef's Pov)
"M-Mother!" exclaimed Amelia in shock.
Amelia's friend turned towards me with an angry face and said.
"Monster! You are going this far!? You are not a real man who could fight on his own. You use others as your tools!"
"That's right, I use them as my tools. If the target surrenders quietly and come with me, I will ensure you that the targets mother won't get harmed."
The subordinate took Amelia's mother as a hostage. This will save my precious time.
"You!"
"Calm down Rosie..."
Then, Amelia stared at me and said.
"Release my mother, I will come with you." She replied.
"No, Amelia! Don't worry about me, they are the ones who are at fault. I am not saying that revenge is a better or worst option. However, giving up against them wouldn't only cost your own life but it will have worse impact on those who cares about you!" exclaimed Amelia's mother.
"I am willing to die, but don't give up. Stand up against every evils! These fools are nothing but part of corruption! Use your strength and don't give up!" She continued.
I can atleast understand that Amelia's real parents were dead because of our organization so she wants revenge against us. Her mother, who is currently our hostage, is not blood related. Even Amelia's father was not blood related. I heard rumours that, just after Amelia's birth, her parents were brutally murdered by the Netori King.
Amelia's sister was manipulated and seduced by the leader of Zenin Organisation and the course of betrayal happened. Amelia's parents were official police officers and they wanted to destroy our organisation but then Netori King easily manipulated her sister to kill the parents.
Currently, she is going against us because of that very reason. She may forgive her sister but not us. Although her current mother is not blood related but she was still raised by her foster mother. I can use her mother as a sword and shield.
"Come here now..." I said.
"Alright, but first release my mot-"
"Although I used underhanded tactic in this fight like a coward, I can still say that I am a man of my word. I will release her just after you come to this side." I replied, interrupting her sentence.
"Okay..."
"Hey, Amelia..."
"Don't worry Rosie I will be fine, just take care of my mother. She is all I have..." replied Amelia.
"Quick, I don't have much time..." I said while thinking that staying here longer would be troublesome.
"Sir, why don't we use her mother and try to extract all informations?" asked subordinate.
"I would have already done that but look at her mother's eyes. She is ready to die for her daughter or for the sake of justice. But she understands that her daughter wouldn't want it. If we try to extract informations then it will only put burden on her whether she should die for the sake of so called justice or stay alive for her daughter." I explained.
I already learned many things before, observing human behaviour is my speciality. I can understand their emotions and use their own emotions against them or defend myself.
Amelia walked slowly in my direction. After few seconds when she came nearby, I put the handcuffs on her hands and took her weapon away. I told my subordinate to release her mother as I promised.
I knocked hardly on Amelia's head.
"Amelia! Hey you! What do you think you are going to do to her?!"
"Your name is Rosie, right? Calm down, atleast I am not the lustful person just like our leader who died. But that doesn't mean she will be alright, I can still torture her by using different wepaons or even cut her legs or hands or even burn her. If she answer all my questions then she will return home safely without any single injury." I said.
"What!? But sir, she is the one who killed our leader!" exclaimed subordinate.
"No, she isn't the one."
Everyone looked shocked when I said that, especially Amelia's face looked more shocked.
"Your face is like you are surprised, but your expression tells me that what I just said, was true." I said.
"What!? You tricked me!" exclaimed Amelia.
"Yes, It was gamble to read your behaviour. It seems like I was correct though, someone else really killed the leader, huh?" I said.
"No, I am the one who killed him!" exclaimed Amelia, but with some strange expression as if she is hiding something.
"It's useless for you to decline it, I have experience in reading human behaviours. Whenever I judge someone based on their expressions and behaviour, my judgement is 99% correct." I said.
"Do you think, I will tell you anything?" asked Amelia.
"No, you look like to be much loyal than my subordinates. That's the difference between loyal members and mere followers. However, I have other methods to extract informations aside from physical torture." I replied.
"Now then, take Amelia and go to the location I sent you on the device."
"Understood!" replied Subordinate.
He took away Amelia with him.
"Amelia!" exclaimed her mother.
"Here take this." I put some money on the table worth of 1 million.
"Either you burn it or use it, depends on you. This is for the destruction that happened in this restaurant. Now then, excuse me." I continued.
I went outside of restaurant and saw that the subordinate was not waiting for me anymore, I thought he must have took the Amelia to the location I sent on his device. However, I recieved a message from that subordinate and when I read the message then-
"I see, so you were not one of the subordinate but someone who wanted Amelia." I muttered.
The subordinate who was with me is the real culprit. He tricked me and now he has Amelia.
"It can't be helped, I made a mistake. I should have focused on that subordinate first. All he wanted was Amelia...." I muttered, looking at the message on my device that seemed to say-
"I will save everyone from this corruption- yours truly, real culprit."
