"We have already done our best, Lady Veil," the nun stood in front of a small house, her head bowed, speaking helplessly.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Veil was hard at work moving bricks. Although it might seem strange for a little girl to be doing this, Veil was no longer an ordinary person, so she moved the bricks quite naturally. But upon hearing the nun's words, Veil couldn't help but tilt her head towards the nun, her large eyes brimming with confusion. It seemed she was especially puzzled by one thing—didn't that strange uncle desperately want to live?

"He didn't run out but chose to go upstairs instead?" Veil finished laying the brick in her hand, then looked at the nun, perplexed.

"Yes, I had left him a way out, and even deliberately forced him to escape behind him. All he needed to do was run out of the orphanage's main gate to get away," the nun nodded, while Veil felt somewhat helpless.
