Chapter 41 - chapter 41

A few footsteps came from the steps. Aaron was focused on his soup, which appeared to be Lady Annabelle's eyeball,

and did not bother to glance at what appeared to be coming down because his heart was still traumatized.

He couldn't remember at all, only lost in thought.

Aaron wondered if Lady Annabelle's eyes were still on him or if Watson carried that annoying look in his eyes.

What is going on here? His heart skipped a bit. When he felt a pat on his head, it was Kris standing before him.

When did he get here? "Why are you just staring at your soup and not eating?" Kris walked over and asked.

Aaron immediately drifted into his thoughts. What should he say, or how should he answer Kris?

Should he tell him that his sister is staring at him, which is making him nervous, and that he seems to be seeing her eyeball inside his soup?

"I want to know what the problem is," Kris asked again, but Aaron simply shook his head and grinned. "It's nothing, Kris. I was just waiting for you to get down before I ate."

When Aaron said this, Kris simply grinned and took a seat beside him.

When Kris sat near him, Aaron had the opportunity to finally clear his head, and he saw the face of Lady Annabelle.

Annabelle was there, peacefully eating her food with no sign of staring or showing hate or anything.

She seemed so calm, with that pretty face that was like an angel, but only God knows the dirty things that she does.

"Aaron, eat your food."

Kris seemed to notice Aaron staring at Annabelle, but he said nothing and only urged Aaron to eat his food.

Not wanting to look like a creep or a weird person, Aaron took his spoon to eat this time, not a fork. He didn't want to make that mistake again.

The whole time, Aaron was just eating quietly. He just wanted this dinner to end because he was not very comfortable,

and it seemed that the food he consumed was going into another entrance in his belly.

He wasn't feeling all right at all, but the sight of his adorable wolf-like husband made him smile, and he soon started eating normally.

While eating, Aaron heard the butler's footsteps.

The butler approached the dinner table, and Aaron remembered that he needed to phone Ethan and tell him that he wanted to explore Ravenhill with him.

"Butler, do you have Ethan's phone number? Let me speak to him."

The butler gave Aaron a strange look after he asked the question.

So, now what? Aaron wondered. Why was he gazing at him in that manner? "Young master, have you forgotten that you have Ethan's number?"

Aaron realized he had once again made a dumb joke about himself after hearing what the butler had said. "Yes, I remember I have his number."

It seemed to slip off Aaron's mind. He faked a laugh,

bringing up his phone with his hands while squeezing it. It showed his frustration as he tapped Ethan's number.

While Aaron was trying to tap Ethan's number on his phone, he didn't know how,

but it seemed to sense that something was trying to bore a hole through his soul. That was when he turned around to meet Kris's eyes.

Kris's eyes stared at Aaron like pandas, as if they were judging him, reading him off, calling him many different names that almost made Aaron feel guilty.

But Aaron wasn't going to allow himself to feel guilty because he knew he wasn't guilty.

It was just Kris overreacting and being jealous. Besides, Aaron wouldn't miss this opportunity to hang out with the cute little Ethan and walk around to see Ravenhill.

Ethan was simply adorable, and for some reason, Aaron wanted to become pregnant if his future child was anything like him.

But he pushed that thought out of his mind. What the hell was he thinking? Where did his mind go? Aaron shook his head, unwilling to think further about the concept.

His marriage had only been a few months, and he was already thinking about having children.

Ethan was really giving him baby fever, although Ethan was more than a baby. He was already 19 years old. His body trembled.

Aaron's body trembled, and his eyes met Kris's right after he had the thought of having a baby. Aaron couldn't help but flinch. His cheeks grew rosy.

If he were to have a child, who in the world would get him pregnant? Of course, his dog-man hubby was seated beside him.

Kris appeared to give Aaron a look, but he did not seem to grasp why Aaron was blushing. Kris's expression altered from frowning to pondering.

Aaron just smiled at Kris, not wanting to say anything, and he drank the last bowl of his soup. He got up from the chair and hugged Kris.

"Goodbye, honey. I'll see you after the trip. The afternoon with Ethan."

He smiled. Aaron noticed how Kris smiled as he was hugged by him, but then he frowned as he heard the mention of Ethan's name. Why now?

Why was he frowning again? Does he hate Ethan that much? Anyway, Aaron didn't know whether to laugh or cry; he didn't want to dwell on it.

Aaron walked towards the door. He stepped out of the big door, but the guards were standing at the front of the house. Aaron almost got scared.

It was as if all of them were there to kidnap him, but then he remembered it was Kris's men.

Aaron asked them, "Why are you guys standing here?" One of them barked, "The young master asked us to take you there."

Aaron couldn't help but roll his eyes after hearing this.

"Well, what does Kris take me for? Does he think I am a kid or something that might get lost just because I want to go for a little outing? But who knows? Kris rules a big city.

Who knows what might happen? Who knows the number of enemies that he might have?" Aaron's mind was just calculating all this.

Aaron reluctantly sighed and entered the seat, parting his lips. He hoped this isn't any of Kris's games to find out his location.

Although he knew the location of Ethan's house, Aaron didn't want him to know the places he was going to explore.

Aaron wasn't familiar with Ravenhill, but he had a map in his hands.

It showed the places to go and the places not to go. The Lala and Solé in Rosewood City were quite good.

Aaron knew that the Solé sometimes might not be emotional. They might be emotionless, but they try to be cheerful sometimes.

So Aaron didn't know how the people in Ravenhill City might be, but he thought he might get to know them a little bit.

From inside the car to outside, the trees seemed to move.

People seemed to be camping in the woods not far away from the road. Aaron was just lost in his thoughts, staring through the window.

He was just thinking, when was he going to get there? He didn't want to fuss about anything.

He didn't want to cause a problem for the bodyguards or complain about anything. So he just lay down and soon fell asleep.

Inside the study...
