Chapter 2: The Raid

Ama's world was turned upside down as she was dragged away from her village. She kicked and screamed, but her captors were too strong. They tossed her into a crowded, filthy enclosure with others from her village.

Ama frantically searched for her family, but they were nowhere to be found. She called out for her mother, her father, but only the eerie silence responded.

The captors, ruthless men with scarred faces and tattered clothes, taunted and beat them. Ama saw a young boy, no more than ten, cowering in the corner, his eyes wide with fear.

One of the captors, seemingly the leader, sneered at Ama. "You're coming with us, girl. You'll make a fine addition to our cargo."

Ama spat at his feet. "I'll never go with you! I'll never be a slave!"

The leader laughed, his eyes glinting with cruelty. "We'll see about that."

As the days passed, Ama and the others were forced to march through treacherous terrain, beaten and starved. They were herded like animals, their humanity stripped away.

Ama's thoughts were consumed by her family, her village, and the life she once knew. She wondered if she'd ever see them again, if she'd ever be free.

The group finally arrived at a bustling port, where Ama saw the horrors of the slave trade firsthand. People were chained, packed into ships like cargo, and sent off to unknown destinations.

Ama realized she was about to face a fate worse than death – a life of slavery
