At the corner of the Raegent Street, a light could been seen coming from one of the shop. Its already past midnight but the shop still hasn't closed following the other vendor. From the other part of the shop two figures could be seen attending the shop. One was busy cleaning up the tables while the other was laying around the counter.
The silence of the night suddenly broken when the girl that cleaning the tables voiced out her dissatisfaction towards the other person.
This girl that have a brown hair with bob haircut furrowed her eyebrow while looking at the person on the counter. " Hey boss, isn't it better to help me out instead of laying around like that so we could go home once and for all". The person being called out tilted his head watching the girl figures from head to toe.
Looking at the girl, he is quite mesmerized even though he have seen her many times before, stood before him a nice face, cute lips and beautiful figure that have a good front and back bump while wearing a maid outfit that. The girl talks seems being missed out as he thinks other things.
Then, the man smiles " hey, Cass you looks extra beautiful tonight, don't you want to be my real maid?". The girl blushed a bit but after hearing the later part of his words she turns grumpy instead." Hey do you want me to report to the police right now?". The man shudder " hahaha I am joking, Cass you know I just want to liven the atmosphere". Cassie grumped "Hmmph".
Then the girl continue to do her job.
Continuing her job to cleanup the tables, Cassie secretly watch her boss while pondering something. (If he is more honest with me, I don't mind if he asked me out on a date and we could be a gf and..). "Hey Cass you could" the man asked Cass."wawawawhat..." Cassie became flustered because she thought she just leaked her thoughts."Ummm, just leave it be, I'll finish the work, you could go home" the man told her. Cassie just nodded" owh okay..".
Then the girl went to change her outfit at the backroom of the shop. While the man went to clean the table.
Minutes later Cassie asked again" hey boss are you sure you don't need my help?". " Yeah2 just remember to go here early tomorrow". " okay boss" she answered. Then the girl leaves, with a chime of bell as the girl went out through the front door. " Hmmm, it's me all alone again, well time to finish this" the man mumbled.
After an hour of cleaning up, the man went to the bathroom to wash his face. When seeing his reflection on the mirror the man can't help but think. " It is the age gap or I am just plain but...hmmm...what even I am thinking" the man sigh.
The man is named Bryan Ellery, the owner of the Caffe called lotus heart in the Reagent Street. A man with a blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes, standing at 6 feet tall with lean but muscular bodybuild as a result of proper workout. A well shaped face that could melt maiden heart, but the man himself doesn't want to acknowledge himself maybe because of the past memories that still linger for him to remember.
He still remember, when he first opened his Caffe after quitting his full time job.With small experience and just enough saving he expected lady luck to be upon him. He open lotus heart, but it seems that opening a new business needs more than that to succeed. The first two weeks was really challenging to him as the customer coming to his Caffe are only few which make him sustain more loss than profit.1 month into the business and he felt like giving up and feel like he made a huge mistake. Then one day, just like an ordinary day he laze around on the counter waiting for his customer for the day which is unlikely to happen.
Then the bell chime rang indicating a customer coming, his face lits up while energy resurge back to his body. He watches as a girl in his teens come up to him. (A high schooler?, can she afford it here, well a customer is a customer). With a smileon his face, he say" well customer, have a seat over there and I'll take your order after this". The girl just stare at him and say " I want to work", he is confused and uttered "what?". " I say I want a part time job here" the girl insisted. Bryan sighed, " hmmm...it's not that I don't take worker, see around you, there's no customer at all, how am I going to pay you?". The girl nods and say" right"." now if you would excuse me, I would like to do my work" he try to ignored the girl. But the girl is relentless " what work?". Bryan just sighed and answered " I need to sleep to preserve my energy so I can work when there is customer, okay".
The girl struck him down again" yeah there's none".( This girl keep making fun of me, Hmmmm... but it's true). He sighed again. " What if I could tell you the secret on how to make your business booming?, will you hire me?she suddenly make a suggestion. " of course, if you could help I also would sponsored your for your lifetime hahaha" he try to just make her say his opinion and hopefully go away after. The girl with twinkling eyes said "you promise?". " absolutely hahaha" he wryly smiled.
He thinks there's no harm in listening and entertaining this girls idea. At first he just merely listen to the girl but the more he listen the more her ideas became plausible and maybe could work.
In order to compete with existing vendor, The girl suggest to make his own recipe or new types of food that could attract customer. As before, he never thought of this as he keeps making and baking an already existed pastry.He thinks that if he make it better that the other vendors, customer will flock to him in no time. And he never thought of making a new one as he focus on really perfecting his skills on the existing pastry and he is afraid to take risk.
The girl also suggest on making a new theme for his Caffe every months such as maid Caffe theme. At the ends of her talk, the girl said to him "life is about taking risk, so you could get what you wants, like me taking risk to talk to you" "I have anticipated to be chased out but not, hehehe" she smiled. Not really a whole new idea but it's worth a try before he became bankrupt. Then He smiled and say " you are quite genius hahaha, what's your name again?".The girl responded "my name is Cassie Wright". That is my first time knowing this girl that later I considered one of the person that bring light to my life and also I could call a dear friends.
From that day onwards he hired Cassie and their business are slowly getting the attention and recognition. From 10 customer a day to 25 , and they could even reach a total of 40-60 customer a day if it's a right day. With cashflow coming in, four hands cannot handled the jobs, so he hired more and more worker. Finally Lotus Heart became the most recognizable and prosperous vendor in Reagent Street. 5 years later, lotus heart became talks of Reagent Street and became one of the profitable bussiness in this area. Then, back to the present, Bryan watch his face in the mirror again and smiled, "well along time has passed and here I am sponsoring her for lifetime now, hahaha".(Isn't she going to University on April, now is march so next month huh, I am all alone again haissh...).
