When the sounds of explosion reached Alyssa she was already worried, after her father's speech announcing her as the next COO of the Bailon Empire everyone wanted to speak to her well almost while on stage she could practically feel her sister's glare from across the floor before she stormed away.
Alyssa decided to place that at the back of her mind as the myriad of people clapped spewing congratulations all over every person she spoke to she walked with her father who introduced her to his business partners and friends though she wasn't sure after a while she just tuned them out nodding and smiling the occasional handshake. Until her eyes met a worried Liam who seemed to look around trying not to betray himself but Alyssa knew that look, a strained smile, a wandering gaze that scanned the crowd a little too closely indicating he was looking for someone the locked jaw Alyssa excused herself from the conversation her father was the only one speaking to the marketing magnate who handled primarily PR for Bailon Inc.
"What's wrong?" she asked walking gracefully not to show any concern almost half the guests' eyes were on her she stopped next to Liam smiling as she spoke. "Ok no need to panic" which of course made her panic at least halfway through that emotion.
"But its Michael…." Alyssa whipped her head towards the kid's table at the furthest corner of the room that was supposed to keep them from the chaos of the party finding it empty "Where are the kids?" her voice came out strained "I went back to the table and they were gone" he continued "I found the twins at the snacks table I am still looking for Michael and Sally."
"Liam you went to that table while I was onstage more than an hour ago!" Nausea crept up her throat suddenly dizzy member's of the Bailon family were somewhat subject to security measures due to their rich status to avoid matters like kidnapping and ransom notes and for the most part Alyssa hadn't needed to worry about any of that since she left her father's company" Now that everyone knows I am next in line to hold the company." She shuddered at the idea that someone took the opportunity to take her son while they were distracted.
She knew many people were disgruntled at her father's decision "At least half of these people would not be above that hoping to gain an advantage over the company heaven Knows my father has many enemies." Then a large boom came from outside the music stopped everyone startled the sound came in the direction of the woods, she ran towards the nearest exit.
"Michael!" she shouted her heels digging into the grass "Sally!" Liam strutted behind her the other guests were still percolating outside they were more disgruntled at the interruption and the cold air than actually focusing on why the Bailon heir and her husband were screaming alas they'd left their fur coats and wouldn't dare step out without them, the ones' already out were merely overtaken by curiosity that now started to fade with the night's breeze.
Alyssa trudged disregarding her feet it hurt to walk in heels, she trained her neck looking around until she saw something dark near the top of the hill where it began to slope gingerly walking towards it she bent touching the soft thick fiber a jacket coat and one she recognized at that "Michael!" a small childlike body not too far off she kicked off the black pair of heels and ran the jacket held tightly in her hand. Basically striding she reached the child only to find it wasn't her child, Sally lay to her side unconscious facing the trees, bleeding on her head where she had presumably been hit with a rock "OH God Sally!" she knelt next to her "Alyssa here!" Liam's voice came up the hill he was on the ground at the foot in his arms another child in a darkened white shirt torn on several parts "Is he alright?!" She shouted in the darkness she couldn't see Liam's face however his next words were very clear to her and would scar her mind for the rest of her life
"I don't know" A quivering baritone that pierced her already panicked heart
Another shadow stood at the top of the hill his silver suit reflecting the lights coming from the manor behind him. Simon Bailon for the first time in his entire life looked shocked his face completely ashen eyes wide staring not at his family but at the weird large black mark painted with similarly black smudge spread all over the hill side spread into the trees, Margaret one of his top security personnel appeared by his side he uttered the same words he always did when emergency situations arose
"Make sure this doesn't get out!"
"Yes Sir!" Margaret nodded and went to work, the guests in long and furry coats started to gather a few meters away at the top of the hill.

Asahi the Eastern Light
"Asahi" Michael stared at the brown leather bound book "In my past life I was called that 'Asahi'" he sat alone in his room at their home Alyssa's and Liam's voices faintly from the hall from his room they were in the living room Michael knew one of them was bound to come knocking checking up on him after the incident at the manor Alyssa almost completely never left his side Liam never too far away she didn't go to her office anymore preferring to work at home wirelessly and Liam did whatever he could to come home early. It'd taken four days for Alyssa to allow him to go back and sleep on his own but even then Alyssa or Liam or both would check up on him almost hourly.
"the Doctors determined there was nothing physically wrong" he agreed "it's weird but I guess my body is assimilating the celestial power flawlessly" " the snake was a biological organism incapable of holding it, even if I hadn't hit it the power would have killed it sooner or later unlike me whom due to my past nature as an angel being naturally predisposed to it." "My body's natural healing capability was boosted by the celestial energy is probably why they found nothing wrong." He placed the book on the bed and went into his small walking closet striping off his shirt revealing perfectly light brown flawless skin "It borders regeneration" he laughed "I even look taller."
The door to his room opened "Miky" Alyssa called "Are you okay?" she asked looking around the room Michael appeared from behind the door wearing his blue t-shirt "Yes mom I feel great"
"Well lunch is ready; unless you want eat in your room today?" Michael inwardly smiled at this wondering how far he could push his luck usually eating alone in the bedroom is forbidden he discarded the idea Alyssa would probably come eat in there with him "I will come it with you at the table." She smiled and left the door open slightly.
'when did spaghetti get so good' Michael thought stuffing himself with a fork swirled in the silky thin yellow strands dipped in red sauce. A side effect of his new found strength was hunger not too bad usually placated by a large serving but he couldn't stay too long without eating, his day now consisted of four course meals and a secret fifth one during the night he thought his mother didn't know about she made sure to leave enough for him chucking this new appetite to growth spurt one which she loved to cater to. Making food which was then ravished by her son weirdly made her happy not to mention a good sign that he may be recovering from any trauma due to the animal attack at her father's birthday party 'if this is the only effect then we're lucky' she smiled as Michael basically inhaled the entire plate in a few minutes "Want some more?" she asked opening a hotpot filled to the brim, "Yes Please!" he put forward his plate wiping his red sauce stained mouth with the back of his hand sloppily.
Then he dived in again. Sounds of a car stopping came in the front yard "Your father's here" Alyssa stood up leaving a half-eaten plate of spaghetti she wasn't particularly hungry. The incident at the party seemed to have scarred her more than it had Michael images of her son laying there clothes torn and tattered not knowing whether he was alive or not had been her worst nightmare that still kept her up most nights since then.
Michael sat on the padded office chair in his room he burped slumping back onto the chair he rubbed his small fat round belly "I know this might be an issue in the future but right now I just don't care" eye lids began feeling heavy he took the hard bound book he'd left on the desk where he found it upon returning from the hospital. He opened the last page it was blank as most books were someone had written on it.
Dear Michael,
This is an interesting book
Hope you like it
