I sighed seeing my stats, To be honest, I am not surprised that I am still stuck at 0-star, I mean I am just 9 years old with no resources, bloodline or anyone to teach me.
The people with stats higher than me at my age usually have the support of their noble parents, In this world even if you are not a mage or have a superpower and are a warrior who specializes in close combat having parents in a higher realm helps you in advancing.
The higher the realm of parents is the easier is for their children to advance to a higher realm, of course, there are some people who have commoner parents but are still able to advance easily to a higher realm but I am not included in those people.
Everyone has something for which they are better than others and something for which they are worse than others. I call it a sense that genius has for example you might been playing chess for years but someone who has learned for a very short time can easily defeat you, The same person might not be good at studies or anything else but he has tremendous improvement in the game chess.

If I had decades to prepare I would probably have used the Transcedent Threshold at 15-16 old but now cause of lack of time I would have to go Transcedent Threshold in just some months, I am grateful to Jack that he prepared a sword for me it would give me much more ease in facing my life-death battle.
I looked at my stats and sighed when I looked at my mana, Every or as much as I knew about the game all the characters had a mana pathway, Mana pathway is like the meridian system on earth, You can interact with mana from surrounding and absorb it to increase your mana. The term having no mana doesn't mean you have no ability to handle mana but more like your mana pathway is blocked, In my case I didn't have a mana pathway.
The situation was ridiculous to me, It was like I was playing an unbeatable game on hard mode but I never expected to alone stop the apocalypse-No, to be honest at first I didn't have the intention to fight the apocalypse as I thought of taking the old man and fleeing to safe places I knew in the game, even if these safe places would last only around 100 years it was enough for me but as I grow old there are more people I want to protect.
Of course that was not the only reason I changed my mind, It was true that those places were 'safe' but that was in the game and this was the reality. It would be ridiculous for me to take everything in the game as real and act on the assumption that nothing has changed.
If I had mana it would be easier for me as the advancement for magicians is much easier than superpowers. The reason for this was very complicated.
The nature of Mana is a kind of energy that changes according to the user's capability, It is a wishful energy that depends on the user to comprehend it, at least that was the explanation of The Arcane Academy.
My thoughts on mana were completely different, If the entire world is to be considered as a bucket then the water inside is Mana. The greater the mana the higher your importance is to the world. In simple words The higher the mana you have the greater the destiny and luck, It's like the entire world is fawning over you.
The higher you go as a Magician the more you become the master of the world, The way of a magician is the path of becoming one with the world. The way of a warrior is considered the weakest path according to the world and in my eyes, The reason for this is simple a pure warrior doesn't have either mana or superpower while a magician or superpower can be a warrior, of course, most magician simple raise their mana stat and disdain raising physical stats as mana is something noble in their eyes while superpower decides to raise their physical stats depending on their superpowers.
An individual can be both a magician and a superpower in this world if he has a very high talent but that individual will never be able to raise their realm to a high level, This is because of how different these paths lead to in this world. In ancient times when the status of magicians was very high superpowers were deemed as heresy in this world and burned on stakes.
This situation changed after the rise of D'ar Arcane who promoted and protected the user of superpowers, He deemed every potential fighter against the dark continent as important and united them in the name of a sacred cause.
Races who were slaved and mistreated were saved by him and he also banned slavery, Of course nowadays the Empire is rotten with the nobles engaging in slavery as much as they want to suck the empire of its blood.
Many races that were friendly to the humans during the time of D'ar Arcane are starting to grow hostile to us, If things continue like this the empire will be destroyed and that will start the countdown of the destruction of the world.
