Chapter 6 - Night of Betrayal

In the dead of night, two soldiers crept through the darkness, their flashlights casting eerie shadows on the ground. Suddenly, one of them stumbled, blood gushing from his nose. 'Ahh, come on! Why are you so frail?' his partner joked, but his words were cut short as he too felt a warm trickle down his nose. 'No...oh God!' he cried, as a monstrous figure in a red dress emerged from the shadows, its long nails and hair looking fiery. The soldiers' screams echoed through the camp as the creature attacked, one of the soldier's bodies crumpling to the ground while the other ran to the camp and died while giving the commander a signal.

The commander gathered along with some soldiers to attack the monster. "It's sucking human blood!' one soldier whispered to the commander, his voice trembling. 'Listen up! We will attack it together!' the commander halted, his voice steady despite the mayhem.

Meanwhile, in the infirmary, Blair clutched her son tight, her heart racing as she gazed out at the carnage, seeing the terror outside. 'Mom, what's happening?' her son asked, his voice shaking. 'I can hear a beast...'

Blair's voice, though forced to be calm, barely masked the fear that clawed at her heart. She replied "Your father will come and save us, as tears roll down her cheek. Wait just a little bit, my child.

Blair peeked through a small tear in the tent. The blood drained from her face as she witnessed the shadow of a monstrous figure tearing into a soldier, its hunger insatiable.

Tears streamed down Blair's face as more soldiers fell before the creatures' onslaught. She knew they wouldn't last much longer, holding her son tightly in her arms.

She took her child trying to escape by passing through the bush.

Blair's heart skipped when she saw a monster in front of them. She thought of staying to defend herself and her son. 'Turn around and run now!' she screamed to her son, her voice hoarse. The blind boy stumbled, his cries for his father piercing the night air.

Liam arrived at the blood shedding scene a bit late. He rushed into his wife camp and couldn't see his wife or his son. He searches for a while before he gears the scream of his son calling him.

Liam's heart raced as he followed the sound, his eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of his family. Before getting to where the cry was coming from, he saw his wife - Blair was already lying in a pool of blood. He was dejected in sorrow as he walked sluggishly to his son. He wept bitterly, clutching his son's lifeless body in his arms. He regretted not embracing him as his son and giving him fatherly love. He was lost in the bitter memories of Blair and his son.

A cry tore from his throat 'No...no...NO!' he wailed, his voice echoing through the night as the monster struck from behind, its knife plunging into his heart."

As the dagger pierced his heart, Liam's eyes widened in shock, his gaze locked onto the lady's face. A crimson tear traced his cheek, his body trembling in agony. With a final gasp, he spat out a mouthful of blood, his vision fading to black.

The lady, Orexis, stood frozen, her eyes fixed on Liam before her. The first light of dawn crept over the horizon, casting an eerie glow. Liam's body remained still, his eyes transformed into burning embers.

With a jolt, he sprang to life, her dagger still lodged in his back. He suddenly turned back, grabbing his dagger. Orexis's eyes flashed with pain as Liam plunged the blade into her heart."Why did you do it?" Liam questioned with pain. "Why did you have to kill my innocent wife and son? You could have killed only me. Tell me why!!" He exclaimed.

"Point of view, in the the lady's thought: This was all your fault, what have you done? You have created more bad karma, and you've brought upon another retribution. I despise you! I truly despise you. I will be born again with this scar that you had given me.

With a defeated grunt, she vanished into thin air, leaving Liam standing alone amidst the carnage, his heart consumed by an inferno of grief and rage.

As the commander and soldiers approached, they found Liam kneeling, the dagger still lodged in his chest. The commander's voice was laced with awe and encouragement."Orexis is dead. You killed that which cannot be killed."

But the soldiers' faces were etched with horror. "But how? A dagger in his body...." one of them stammered, his eyes fixed on the dagger. 'Has he become a monster himself?' another whispered, his voice trembling.

Liam's gaze was fixed on his son's lifeless body, his eyes burning with an unnatural hunger. He took a step forward, his hand reaching out as if to claim his son's blood. The commander's face contorted in revulsion. 'He's become a monster!' he spat. 'He'll kill us all!'

With a swift motion, the commander drew his dagger and plunged it into Liam's back. The other soldiers followed suit, their blades sinking into Liam's flesh with a sickening crunch. But Liam didn't falter, his growl echoing through the forest. He vanished into the forest, leaving behind a trail of blood and terror.

The soldiers retreated in haste, carrying the lifeless bodies of Blair and her son back to North Wales, their hearts heavy with dread. They knew that Liam, the man they once called saviour, had succumbed to the monster within."

The commander's boots echoed through the silent halls as he approached the general's office, his heart heavy with the weight of his report. He saluted crisply, his voice laced with trepidation. 'Sir, "He was not a human. We should not have trusted someone who was of ominous birth.

'He sacrificed his own family and subordinate, to become the very monster he swore to destroy.

The general's face remained impassive, his voice filled with a hint of anguish. 'Where are the bodies of my daughter and grandson?' he demanded.

The commander's voice was barely above a whisper. 'He he looked like a beast as he stared at his dead son. He was no longer human, sir.'

The general's composure shattered like fine glass. His cry of anguish echoed through the room,he lament with anger.Days passed, and the general remained lost in his sorrow, his heart consumed by the darkness that had claimed his family."
