The Young Master said as she stepped in between the two assassins. Her hands were slightly raised in a calming gesture as though she was trying to tame a feral beast.
Despite the look of a madman in Conrad's eyes, she didn't flinch nor take a defensive stance.
Her clear blue eyes locked onto his red, and her lips were pressed into a firm line. Geraldine's expression was a mixture of determination and frustration, but mostly, it leaned toward the former.
'The Younger Master? Why here? Why now?'
A shudder ran through Connie's body. The bloodlust sensation still clawed at him, it urged him to keep going and finish the job.
