Chapter 47: Recruiting Two Giants
---
Little Garden: The Duel Continues
The Silverhair Pirates had set up camp on Little Garden, where they observed the giant warriors, Brogy and Dorry, engage in their daily duel. The sheer power and determination of the two giants impressed Arthur and his crew.
"So these giants have lived for over a hundred years and still keep fighting each other?" Rio mused, watching the clash from a safe distance.
"They may look silly on the surface, but don't underestimate them," Arthur reminded his crew. "Living for over a hundred years and constantly battling each other has made them formidable."
Hiroshi observed the fight closely. "Even without mastering Haki, their sheer physical strength and combat experience are remarkable."
---
Culokam decided to challenge Dorry to a duel. "Let's see what you've got, old man," he taunted, raising his hammer.
Dorry grinned, accepting the challenge. The two clashed, shaking the ground with their blows. Despite his age, Dorry's combat instincts were sharp, and his movements were precise.
Culokam, enjoying the power contest, said, "You're strong, but let's see how you handle this!" He leaped into the air, bringing his hammer down with tremendous force.
Dorry blocked the attack with his shield, but the impact pushed him back a few steps. "Not bad, kid," he said, shaking off the shock.
Arthur watched the battle intently. "They're not using Haki, but their years of combat experience allow them to predict movements and counter effectively."
The duel continued for hours, both sides relentless. Finally, as the sun began to set, Culokam landed a decisive blow, knocking Dorry to the ground.
"I won," Culokam declared, though he was breathing heavily and covered in bruises.
Dorry lay on the ground, panting. "You're strong, kid. I haven't had a fight like that in years."
--
After the battle, Arthur approached the giants as they gathered around the campfire. "You two are incredibly strong. I have a proposition for you."
Brogy and Dorry listened as Arthur laid out his plan. "Join the Silverhair Pirates. With your strength and experience, we can accomplish great things together."
The giants were hesitant at first. "Why should we trust you?" Brogy asked.
Arthur met their gaze. "Because we share a common enemy. The world government has wronged us all, and together, we can seek justice."
The mention of the world government struck a chord with the giants. They remembered their comrades imprisoned on Enies Lobby and their destroyed homeland, Elbaf.
"We need time to think," Dorry said after a long silence.
"Take your time," Arthur replied. "We're not leaving the island anytime soon."
---
While the giants contemplated Arthur's offer, the Silverhair Pirates took the opportunity to train on the island. The environment, filled with ancient creatures, provided the perfect training ground.
Lisa collected rare herbs and plants for medicinal purposes, while Surv perfected her cooking skills using the local ingredients. Rio, ever the sharpshooter, practiced his aim by hunting the island's dinosaurs.
Dr. Megulus set up a makeshift clinic, using the time to research and develop new medical techniques.
Arthur, Alex, and Hiroshi focused on refining their Haki and combat skills. "We need to be stronger," Arthur said during one of their training sessions. "The New World is no place for the weak."
Alex nodded. "Observation Haki has improved, but there's still a long way to go."
Hiroshi, wielding his twin swords, practiced his new techniques. "I can feel my skills getting sharper," he said, executing a flawless series of strikes.
---
After several days, Brogy and Dorry returned to Arthur. "We've made our decision," Brogy announced. "We'll join you, but you must help us rescue our comrades and avenge Elbaf."
Arthur smiled. "It's a deal. Together, we'll bring justice to those who've wronged us."
---
To celebrate the new alliance, the Silverhair Pirates held a grand feast. The crew and the giants shared stories, food, and laughter around a massive bonfire.
"This feels like the start of something great," Alex said, raising his glass in a toast.
Surv nodded. "We've got powerful new allies. The New World better watch out."
The atmosphere was joyous and full of camaraderie. As the night went on, the crew and their new giant allies bonded over their shared goals and experiences.
---
The next day, the giants led Arthur and his crew to a cave on the other side of the island. "There's a powerful creature inside," Dorry warned. "Even together, we couldn't defeat it."
Arthur, intrigued, decided to investigate. "Let's see what this creature is," he said, leading the way into the dark cave.
Inside, the air was thick and humid. The crew could hear the sounds of a large creature moving deeper within. "Stay alert," Arthur cautioned.
As they ventured further, they came face to face with a massive centipede. Its body stretched across the cave, its many legs creating an unsettling rustling sound.
"That's one big bug," Rio muttered, readying his sniper rifle.
Arthur stepped forward, his bisento glowing with Haki. "Let's take it down."
---
The centipede lunged at them, its mandibles snapping menacingly. Arthur dodged, countering with a powerful slash that cut into its armored exoskeleton.
Hiroshi and Dr. Megulus flanked the creature, their combined swordsmanship and medical expertise making a formidable team. "Aim for the joints!" Megulus shouted, using his Observation Haki to identify weak points.
Alex and Rio provided support from a distance, their sharpshooting skills keeping the creature off balance. "We've got your back," Alex called out, taking a precise shot at the centipede's eyes.
Surv, using her Devil Fruit powers, unleashed powerful electric attacks that stunned the creature, allowing the others to strike.
After a fierce battle, the centipede lay defeated. Arthur stood over it, breathing heavily but victorious. "Good job, everyone."
---
With their training on Little Garden complete and their new giant allies in tow, the Silverhair Pirates set sail once more. Their destination: Water 7, where they hoped to build a ship worthy of their growing crew.
As they left the island, Arthur looked back at the receding shore. "We've come a long way," he said to his crew. "But our journey is far from over."
The crew nodded, their spirits high. They were stronger, more united, and ready to face whatever challenges the Grand Line had in store.
