"Little ancestor, you're finally back. Do you know your daddy came to see you?"
When Minister Wang heard that Fan Mingyu had returned, he hurried over and found Mingyu instructing the driver to carry several boxes into the kindergarten's first-grade classroom, turning the school into a moving market. The children from the other classes, who happened to be playing outside, gathered around at the sight, indeed not the best influence.
Minister Wang grumbled to himself.
"It's not the first time my daddy has come to see me; what's there to make a fuss about?" Mingyu replied nonchalantly, as he watched his family's driver bring in the boxes. He then said to Minister Wang, "Uncle Minister, I have class now." With that, he strutted into the classroom with his hands clasped behind his back, like an ancient landlord, not at all like a student about to attend class.
Back at his seat, Mingyu didn't sit down but provocatively watched Su Xiaoyue, who had just been playing the piano for the children. Due to his actions, Xiaoyue had stopped playing, and all the classmates were looking at Mingyu.
The other two life skills teachers, who assisted Xiaoyue in managing the first-grade class, were also looking at Xiaoyue.
Standing up, Xiaoyue walked over to Mingyu, looked down at the smart but mischievously troublesome child, and after a long moment deeply inhaled before leaning down to pat Mingyu's head and gently asking, "Mingyu, did you have fun outside?"
Mingyu responded with a smirk, "As long as I don't have to sit in class, it's fun."
Xiaoyue smiled and asked him, "So do you still want to play? How about this, teacher won't make you sit in class anymore, and let you play outside instead, okay?"
At these words, Mingyu was stunned.
He thought that after skipping class and returning, Xiaoyue would definitely scold him. Instead, Xiaoyue was offering to give him time off to play outside. But he hadn't run out just to play; he had been out to buy glasses for Xiaoyue, and all those boxes contained the glasses he had purchased.
Mingyu was taken aback for a moment, but soon regained his composure, his handsome face beaming as he clapped his hands and agreed, "Sure, teacher, let me play outside. It's suffocating sitting in the classroom."
Xiaoyue still smiling, reached out her hand in front of him and said, "Alright, teacher will take you outside to play now."
Mingyu, his dark eyes twinkling with uncertainty about Xiaoyue's intentions, hesitantly extended his little hand to her. As Xiaoyue grasped it, he quickly pulled his hand back and pointed at the boxes, telling Xiaoyue, "Teacher Su, you should open those boxes first."
Only then did Xiaoyue turn her attention to the boxes. She didn't move but stood up straight and looked down at Mingyu, asking softly, "What's in them?"
"Teacher Su, you'll know if you look," Mingyu said, feigning mystery.
Xiaoyue turned around and walked toward the boxes.
Everyone looked on with curiosity at her actions, eager to find out what was inside the few boxes that Fan Mingyu had someone bring in.
When Su Xiaoyue opened a box, she saw it was filled with eyeglasses. Startled, she then opened the remaining boxes and found they were all eyeglasses, too.
Squinting her eyes, she looked toward Fan Mingyu, who held his chin high with a smug look, and asked, "Mingyu, did you buy all these glasses? Did you go out just now to buy glasses?"
"I stepped on your glasses and really didn't want to see you groping around like a blind person, so I decided to compensate you with a pair. But since I didn't know what style you liked, I simply bought two hundred pairs to give to you as compensation," see, he knew that if he destroyed someone's property, he had to make amends, and he did so by a few hundred times over. Glancing at Su Xiaoyue, Fan Mingyu said with self-satisfaction, "Miss Su, don't feel touched, it's just two hundred pairs of glasses, they aren't worth much, I just swiped a few tens of thousands."
Just swiped a few tens of thousands?
Su Xiaoyue felt that Fan Mingyu, at such a young age, was already spending money like water because of being overindulged.
Who would have thought that Fan Mingyu would add, "My daddy is rich!"
Seeing Fan Mingyu act this way, Su Xiaoyue grew even more determined. That evening, she definitely had to visit the Fan Family to have a good talk with Shaoming and cooperate in helping Fan Mingyu correct his mistakes.
Fan Mingyu walked over, casually picked up a pair of glasses, handed them to Su Xiaoyue, and looked up with his small face, batting his sly eyes, he said, "Miss Su, try on the glasses to see if they fit."
Su Xiaoyue smiled, took the glasses, and squatted down to be at eye level with Fan Mingyu, speaking gently, "Mingyu, thank you for giving Teacher so many glasses, but Teacher doesn't need so many. Where did you buy these from? Return them. Also, earning money is very hard for your father, so don't frivolously spend the money he earns. Spend the money wisely; that is respecting the fruits of your father's labor and also cultivating good habits."
"The money's already paid, they can't be returned, you must accept them all. It's the first time I'm giving someone a gift, and I won't take it back. It's easy for my daddy to make money; he just sits in the office, writes his own name with a pen, and can make lots and lots of money. When I grow up, I'll make money just as easily as daddy does, not tiresome at all. I'll spend as I wish, however much I wish. Daddy said he can afford to raise me and won't let me suffer," said Mingyu.
Su Xiaoyue: ...
She now really wanted to have a deep conversation with Shaoming.
Fan Mingyu was completely spoiled by his seemingly responsible father, Shaoming. Just look at the way he was teaching his child.
"Teacher, just put these glasses away. I don't feel like going out to play anymore. I'm going to sleep," said Fan Mingyu, turning and heading to the children's resting room. He didn't really want to go out to play; it was more that he couldn't figure out Su Xiaoyue's intentions and didn't want to fall into her trap.
Daddy said that when facing an enemy, only with the knowledge of both oneself and the opponent can one win every battle. When in the dark about the enemy, it is best not to rashly attack.
"Mingyu," called Su Xiaoyue.
Su Xiaoyue quickly grabbed Fan Mingyu, still speaking very gently. "Have you decided you don't want to go out to play?" she asked. When Fan Mingyu nodded, she added, "Mingyu, it's time to eat. We should have lunch before taking a nap." While pulling Fan Mingyu back to his seat, she gently pushed him to sit down and softly said, "Mingyu, be good, and after Teacher finishes the tune, we can wash our hands and eat."
