Most of those who sat here were teachers and students from the Foreign Studies Institute; we chose a table by the window, ordering green tea and broad beans seasoned with a peculiar flavor.
"How is it? Married life must be quite comfortable, huh?" I asked with a grin.
"I haven't felt much change," Mingfang said, "Just one more meal to prepare every day, and when traveling, there's another person to accompany you."
I nodded. What a romantic thing it was.
"Jiayang, can you tell if there's been any change in me?"
I examined her closely and felt that she was just as usual, looking healthy with a rosy complexion, perhaps even more charming than before she was married.
"Your sister here has a baby on the way."
I was taken aback for a moment.
Mingfang smiled slightly, her joy evident, "Didn't you notice? It won't be long before you'll have a little nephew or niece calling you 'uncle'."
