Originally, as he watched Sun Wukong being suppressed by the Swastika Buddha Seal of the Tathagata Buddha, which transformed into the Sky Tablet, everything was about to be settled. However, those from the Flower-Fruit Mountain Demon Clan suddenly burst forth and disrupted the plans. The Jade Emperor had considered intervening to deal with the Flower-Fruit Mountain Demon Race, to buy time for the Tathagata Buddha to suppress Sun Wukong, but then he thought better of it, not wanting to make it too easy for the Tathagata Buddha, so he refrained.
As a result of this moment of indecision, Sun Wukong managed to recover his senses and burst out from under the Sky Tablet!
