The man with the slicked-back hair had a flippant air about him; though there were two security guards from the hotel standing not far away, it was as if the young man didn't even see them.
"This is a hotel, after all, so special services are definitely a part of the deal. Just name your price if you're willing to accompany me—money is no object for Young Master Jiang."
"I'm sorry... I'm just a front desk clerk, I don't... provide those services," the tearful-eyed clerk stammered.
She was clearly young, looking no more than a university freshman or sophomore. Likely working part-time to pay her way through school, she had little social experience and was at a loss as to how to handle the harassment by the brash young man.
As the young woman tried to break away from the brash man, he pivoted, blocking her path.
She nearly collided with the man's chest.
"What... what are you trying to do? Let me go!" The fear was evident in the clerk's eyes, glistening with tears.
