After Kiyara turned off the the fire and grabbed her coffee she went upstairs to her bedroom
The room was filled with an oppressive silence, broken only by the soft hum of the lamp. Kiyara sat on her bed, her anxiety mounting as the door creaked open. Her uncle's figure appeared in the doorway, his face a mask of twisted politeness.
"What a lovely home you've made for yourself, Kiyara," he said, his voice deceptively sweet. "Everything you could ever want, right at your fingertips."
Kiyara's heart pounded in her chest. "What are you doing here? How did you find me?"
Her uncle stepped further into the room, his smile faltering as his eyes narrowed with jealousy. "Oh, you know, I've been keeping an eye on you. Watching you live the life I always dreamed of. It's not just about the money, Kiyara. It's about the fact that you have everything, while I've been left with nothing."
Kiyara's voice was firm but trembling. "It is because i didn't take anything that wasn't rightfully mine. You had your chance and lost it."
Her uncle's eyes darkened. "And you think you're so much better than me. You've got it all—wealth, a perfect life. How could you be so selfish?"
Kiyara's fear grew as she saw him reach into his coat. "Please," she said, her voice desperate. "Just leave. You don't have to do this."
Her uncle's smile twisted into something more sinister as he pulled out a knife. "Oh, but I do. It's not fair that you have everything,A flourishing business,A rich boyfriend who works with the government,a huge house and an amazing net worth while I'm left with nothing. And it's time you learned that actions have consequences."
"I didn't leave you with nothing, you left me with nothing,my inheritance given to u but you blew it all away like some dust and you are blaming me,the only thing i did was run away from you and i was thinking you would be happy about it" Kiyara smiled sadly, tears blurring her vision.
"I was happy about it maybe too happy,to not know that you had already become wealthy,i took care of you!" He pointed at her with anger. "But you didn't think to repay me" he smiled like a miniac.
"It was a good million given to u to take care of a little girl but she ran away in Just two weeks and you want to tell me that you need cash for treating so me badly?" Kiyara said pained
"Or to gamble again maybe this time you will turn a new leaf, let me see pay off your debtors?" Kiyan said with a weak smile.
"You fucking whore" her uncle gritted his teeth with anger.
Kiyara's eyes widened in terror as he advanced on her. "Please, don't do this.just go!"
But her uncle was unmoved. "Step away from me please don't do anything you will regret later"
With a swift, brutal motion, he lunged at her. The knife slashed through the air multiple times, catching her in a painful cut. Kiyara cried out, trying to fend him off. "Stop!, ah! stop!"
The room erupted into chaos just as Ezekiel burst through the door. His eyes were wild with shock and fury as he took in the scene. Without a word, he lunged at Kiyara's uncle, his fists pounding with a raw, brutal force.
"You fucking bastard!" Ezekiel roared, his voice thick with rage. He landed a series of hard punches, each one delivered with a savage intensity. The uncle crumpled under the assault, his pleas and cries for mercy lost amidst Ezekiel's relentless blows which made his teeth come off.
Mark and John quickly snapped out of their daze and intervened, pulling Ezekiel back with firm hands. "Ezekiel, stop!" John shouted. "We need to get Kiyara to the hospital!"
but Ezekiel kept on punching as all he could see was red he punched until Tunde's/Uncle's face was disfigured then he started breathing heavily.
Ezekiel's face was a storm of anger, then he nodded, his hands still clenched into fists. He carefully lifted Kiyara into his arms, his eyes never leaving her face. "Hang in there, Kiyara," he said, his voice rough. "Please, please don't leave me." he said weekly has his eyes was blurred with tears
As Ezekiel pitifully carried Kiyara to the car with shaken hands, Mark and John restrained her uncle, their faces set with grim determination. They exchanged a look, understanding Ezekiel's silent command. Once Ezekiel had left with Kiyara, they prepared to deal with the uncle in their own way, ensuring he would face severe consequences for his actions.
"He got guts" Mark said to john while holding the man as if he weighed nothing. "Some people don't just like to take precautions" John said looking annoyed at the messy man being held like a bag of cement.
At the hospital, doctors immediately took Kiyara into surgery. Ezekiel paced the waiting room, his heart aching with worry. His mind was consumed with thoughts of Kiyara's condition and the grim retribution awaiting her uncle.
As Kiyara was rushed into surgery, Ezekiel's thoughts were a storm of anger and concern. He could only hope that the medical team's skill and Kiyara's strength would be enough to pull her back from the brink.
Ezekiel suddenly met Ariel's and Bella's figures rushing in with worried looks.
"How is she?" Bella asked anxiously.
"She has to be fine," Ariel said hopefully.
"She got stabbed multiple times, and I wasn't fucking there for her," Ezekiel said angrily as he slammed his fist into the wall, then slumped to the floor.
"What?" Tears broke down on Bella's face and Ariel stood there shocked.
Jasmine rushed in, her face etched with concern.
"What happened to Kiyara?" she asked, pulling Ezekiel into a warm hug as he cried weakly. Jasmine was taken aback; she had never seen Ezekiel cry before, not even when his father had died in the fire.
"She got stabbed," Bella said on behalf of Ezekiel. He was too depressed to speak.
"Everything will be fine, Ezekiel. You have faith in Kiyara, right? I do too. She's a strong woman, and she'll get through this," Jasmine said, trying to comfort him, but Ezekiel seemed lost in his own despair, his vision clouded with red.
Suddenly, the doctor came out of the operating room, and Ezekiel's face brightened up.
"She has lost a lot of blood, sir. It's critical that she receives more or she may not survive. We have her blood type, but it won't be enough," the doctor said gently.
"Take mine," Ezekiel said almost immediately.
"Her blood type is the same as mine. You can take it all, every single last drop until she feels better," Ezekiel said in a dangerous tone.
"But, sir, we need multiple donors—" "And where the fuck are you going to find that, huh?" Ezekiel yelled angrily at the doctor. It was the first time he had yelled at someone.
"How long will it take? DO IT NOW, doctor!" Ezekiel demanded, gripping the doctor's collar. The doctor pushed his glasses up and replied,
"As you wish, sir."
"What? No, no, I can't lose my brother," Jasmine said with widened eyes, visibly worried. "No, Ezekiel, please don't do this! You might die!" A tear finally dropped from Jasmine's cheek as she knelt and begged him.
"You are the family I have. Please don't leave me," she cried. "Please."
"Do you think I could live without Kiyara? She's playing a game with me, and she's winning. She decided to go first while I rot here alone and depressed. I won't let her win; I will be the one to go before her, Jasmine. You should have known from the start that I would literally do anything for my Kiyara," Ezekiel said softly as he prepared to enter the room for the blood transfusion.
Jasmine shouted and begged for Ezekiel to stop but he didn't listen has Ariel held her to calm her down.
