Kiyara
I decided to wear the most expensive dress in the world to Jasmine's next party to finally meet him. I wanted to thank him badly, but he didn't give me a chance last time. Something tells me that he doesn't want to meet me. Maybe he didn't like the night we spent together. What am I thinking? I should leave the past behind and move forward. I put on a diamond earring shaped like a K that I made. The diamond dress fell to the ground as I put on diamond heels. Tonight's theme is "Make It Shine." I smiled at my reflection in the mirror after applying my makeup and styled my hair into Fulani braids, long and curled at the tips. I added some edges and wore a diamond necklace and bracelet. I walked out of the house looking amazing. Bella and Ariel looked stunned and complimented me until we reached the venue in our limousine. This time, I did not wear a mask; I wanted to make my debut. I felt confident in myself and was ready to face the paparazzi. Bella was the first to get out of the limo and face the paparazzi. As she was almost done walking, Ariel squeezed my hand and said, "You will be alright, just think about having fun." She smiled at me and got out of the limo, waving and smiling. When she was done, I prepared myself and got out.
The paparazzi immediately started taking more pictures than necessary, and I had a ton of questions to answer. They were all in awe of my beauty, and I felt loved.
"The beautiful K that we've all been wanting to see has finally shown herself at Jasmine Kelfy's party, and to all the people who said she had a disease, she doesn't," the reporters said, and I smiled. I walked in and met up with Bella and Ariel. We walked in together, and all eyes were on us, mostly me, because this was my first time showing people who I truly am. People immediately came towards us to talk about me.
"Wow, I guess we have finally seen what was underneath that mask. She is a goddess," a man with grey hair said with a chuckle. He looked to be in his late fifties and was tall. He stopped mid-sentence when he saw my dress. "Darn!" he covered his mouth. "That's Diamonte's latest piece! How did you get it?" he asked, surprised.
"Uh, well—"
"Are you trying to say that she can't afford it?" Ariel asked with a slight glare and fake smile. The man felt embarrassed and tried to clarify himself, but I didn't want to hear anything. I was looking for the guy and then saw him—he was already staring at me from a corner, very creepily. I walked towards him and stood in front of him, confident and bold.
Ezekiel
I saw her walking towards me, still maintaining eye contact until she stopped in front of me and almost immediately averted her gaze, like she did while she was performing two years ago. She probably thinks she has accomplished something by walking towards me with confidence. I smiled at what she just did and waited for her to open her plump mouth and talk to me.
"I-I-I" she stuttered while looking around. I waited, holding back laughter. "I am really grateful for everything you have done for me, sir. I really appreciate it. Thank you," she said with her soft voice.
"You deserved it," I replied, my voice deep. I felt her stiffen. I smirked. "And also for yesterday, thanks, but you didn't have to hit the man that hard, you know?" she said, looking at me. I grew angry at her comment. Was I supposed to watch as he touched you? No one touches what is mine. I suppressed the anger with a smile.
"I will only truly accept the apology when you go out with me," I said, looking at her face, which turned pink within seconds.
"Wh-what?" she asked innocently.
"A coffee date, me and you, 12:00 a.m. tomorrow. Then I will accept your apology," I said. She nodded in agreement.
"Fine," she said softly.
Jasmine and her husband John walked towards me and Kiyara with smiles. She is going to cause trouble, I know it.
"Hey Kiyara, damn, you look so beautiful!" Jasmine said in awe. Obviously, I rolled my eyes.
"Thanks. This must be your husband?" Kiyara smiled at him, which made my blood boil. Jasmine placed her hand on John's chest as she looked at Kiyara.
"Yes, his name is John. And John, this is Kiyara, the one who made the necklace you bought for me that was worth 5 million dollars," she said sweetly, appearing as a cute little doll. But she is exactly like a psycho.
"Oh really? I must say I really liked the design, and it was worth more than—" John paused at the sight of the dress I gave to Kiyara.
"That's—"
"Diamonte's new piece, yes, I know already. I heard from a lot of people," Kiyara said with a smile. I loved it. I wish I could picture it and make it the only thing I see.
"Wow, you are so lucky to have it, Kiyara. I'm sure that you are worth it," Jasmine said, and her husband agreed.
"She deserves more than that," I said coldly. Jasmine laughed awkwardly.
"Don't mind my brother; he says things he doesn't mean sometimes," she said, tapping the side of her head.
"I mean it, and I'm not crazy," I glared at her, which made her hug her husband uncomfortably.
"Uh, thanks, si—"
"It's Ezekiel," I told her in a warm tone, unlike the way I spoke to Jasmine. I wonder what she usually calls me all those days she didn't know my name.
"Oh, okay, Ezekiel then," she smiled and walked away. No! I still wanted her to stay beside me.
Kiyara
Wow, so his name was Ezekiel, and he turns out to be Jasmine's brother. It looks like I will be having a date with him. To sum it up, he looked dangerous yet safe. I wanted to talk to him longer, but I felt like the odd one in a group of families. I sat at the bar, meeting the same bartender. I ordered wine, a little alcoholic this time, and gulped it down at once. He still signaled for me to drink slowly, but I gave him a look that said but it's not that alcoholic. He smiled, and I really needed to hit the spot. I asked for three hard whiskeys and vodka. I was already drunk when I saw someone sit beside me. It was a woman.
"Hi Kiyara, you are really beautiful. To be honest, I thought you had chicken pox," she said. I was confused and gave a look that said huh?
"I know, right? Very dumb thinking. So, I was thinking of us combining our work together," she said, rambling about how it would benefit us. My head was already heavy, and I didn't realize when I lost it and fell asleep.
I opened my eyes to see myself back home. Thank goodness I had two besties who helped me. I knew it was them because they left a card saying, "Don't drink too much," with Ariel's handwriting. I had a really bad headache and took the pill they left beside the bed. I realized it was 10:50 a.m., and I immediately went to the shower. I changed into a short sunflower dress with knee-length boots and a white jacket. I got into my car and went to the location Ezekiel sent me. It was really big and fancy. I saw him next to a Lamborghini with a sunflower that matched my outfit. Weird but nice. He saw me and smiled, showing his cute dimple.
"Hello," he said with his charming voice.
"Uh, hi."
"I made reservations, a private one just for both of us," he smiled and handed me the flowers. I followed him inside. It was even bigger inside. The place was colored gold and white like a palace. It was neat and classy. I could hear the sound of violins and pianos from a corner where a group of musicians wore black and white suits, playing soothing music. A man who looked older approached us with a smile. He looked like a classy butler, taller than me but shorter than Ezekiel.
"You made reservations, sir?" he asked nicely.
"Ezekiel King and Kiyara King," he said casually as I looked at him with disbelief. What?! When did we get married?
"Ha, yes, sir, this way, please," he bowed and led the way to a quiet room with only one table and two seats. We sat down, and we had our own private musicians and servers.
"This place is really fancy," I said, impressed.
"Yes, but you deserve more. Don't worry, our next date will be better," he smiled and said as the butler placed two menus on the table. It was an à la carte menu, my favorite. I ordered chicken noodle soup, a nice soft drink, cake, and burgers. Ezekiel told me to order more, but I declined. He ordered the same things I did, and while we waited, I asked him a lot of questions.
"Why did you call me Kiyara King?" I asked nervously. "I mean, we aren't even married yet."
"Yes, we aren't yet," he said, looking deeply It was hard looking into his intimidating blue eyes.
"You still haven't an—" I began, but the waiters arrived with the food, interrupting my sentence. Ezekiel smiled and said, "Doesn't it look delicious, darling?"
"Uh, it does… What makes you think we'll have another date?" I asked.
"I can feel it," he replied, smiling again. He added more chicken to my plate and told me to "eat." A few minutes later, he said something that almost made me throw up: "Be mine." He looked serious.
