"Come on Alex, don't hog all the fun." A playful voice sounded from the side, coming from the brown haired man who was already back up on his feet. "But don't worry, I'll let you have this one."
"Shut up Brad." Alex replied, not stopping for an even a second.
"Arrrg!!! St—"
Thwack!
Bel'ney was barely able to complete his words, before another punch slammed into his jaw, instantly slacking it to the side.
His mouth was forced open by the strike, and blood spewed out of it, splashing on the ground.
He tried channeling his Zet, in order to fight back, or at least defend himself from the barrage of attacks, but it was pointless.
Due to the pain coursing through his head, he couldn't even focus on using his technomancy.
He had never been too good in channeling Zet, and being on the receiving end of Alex's attacks didn't help at all. He was completely helpless.
"Pluease! Juest… stop." Bel'nel mumbled, hot tears mixed in with blood dripping down his cheeks.
Huff!
Huff!
Alex briefly halted his punch, taking a moment to look at the pitiful face of the man.
His eyes and cheeks were swollen, and his lower jaw was bent unnaturally to the side.
Nonetheless, none of that fazed Alex. The frown on his face deepened, and he tightened his blood-stained fists even further.
"You should have stopped before crossing your boundary, I won't stop… not until you're dead." He muttered, before swinging his fist towards Bel'ney's face again.
Swiish!!
Just as his hand was about to hit the man, a long metal arm suddenly flew from the side, tightly gripping his neck.
"Arckk!" Alex grunted, as the metal arm pushed him away from Bel'ney's body, holding him up in the air.
Swiish!!
"Alex!" Brad shouted in worry, but in the next second, another metal arm shot through the air, tightly gripping his neck also.
"Agh!" He groaned in pain, as the arm slowly lifted his body up, putting him side by side with Alex.
"Damn you… Tiery." Alex muttered, albeit with some difficulty due to the large arm choking him.
"Wow. Wow. Wow. Alex and Brad'oc causing trouble, how surprising." A deep voice rang across the room, sending shivers down the spine of those who heard it.
"I-it's Brad… asshole." Brad muttered, gnashing his teeth tightly in annoyance, however, Tiery simply ignored his words.
Clap!
He loudly clapped his hands together, finally emerging in front of Alex and Brad.
He stood at 190cm, with bright green hair, and a thin metal running along his chin.
His arms and legs were made up of a shiny brown metal, each one firmly attached to his body.
Jutting out from his back, were two large, yet flexible metal arms, each one tightly clasping unto their necks.
Unlike Bel'ney, he wasn't putting on any armour, his body was already augmented with machines, greatly boosting his power.
"I leave here for just a few minutes, and look what happened." He muttered, turning to Bel'ney who was still lying weakly on the ground.
"You're supposed to co-ordinate them, Bel'ney. It's such a simple task, yet here you are… getting beaten to a pulp instead." Tiery said, shaking his head in disappointment. "To let your self get beaten by a dud, you're a disgrace."
"W-weait… I… ceann explein." Bel'ney muttered, turning his head around desperately.
He was still blinded by the shards, so he couldn't properly see his surroundings. He tried standing up to plead for his case, only to stumble shamefully back to the ground.
Swish!
Smoke slowly rose up from Tiery's hand, and a small rectangular hole opened up on his right wrist.
Beep!
Beep!
A small, red capsule swiftly appeared above the hole, hovering over it while beeping softly.
Fwoosh!
"Someone like you who can't even perform his job, doesn't deserve to live." Tiery said, shooting the capsule towards Bel'ney.
It flew rapidly across the air, reaching him in an instant before silently sinking into his chest.
"Doun't, pluease…." At first nothing happened, but Bel'ney kept begging with snot dripping from his nose.
Splash!
"Kukh!" Suddenly, blood sprayed out of his lips, falling onto the ground with a loud splash.
As if that wasn't enough, blood started oozing out of his eyes, and also his nose, pouring down his face like water.
He kept on coughing out blood, the volume increasing with every cough, until the ground was covered in a pool of the fluid.
"N-no…" Bel'ney mumbled, his body staggering back and forth.
"I—" His body suddenly dropped to the ground with a heavy thud, his face plunging directly into the pool of his own blood.
He didn't get back up after that, his body lying motionless on the floor.
"D-damn… you. He was mi—Kukh!." Blood suddenly sprayed out of Alex's mouth mid-sentence, staining the giant metal arm red.
'Damn it…' Alex mumbled inwardly, his eyes widening in shock as he swiftly held in another cough about to come out.
"Look at you… you're a mess." Tiery said, clicking his tongue in mockery. "Pathetic."
"Just… shut up." Alex muttered, tightly gripping unto the thick metal arm.
Although he didn't want to admit it, his body was slowly breaking apart… and he knew that very well.
He thought his body might be able to withstand it, but all the hits and beatings he had taken over the years without any form of medical care was already starting to catch up to him.
At this rate, he barely even had a month left to live.
Nonetheless, it didn't matter much to him. All he had to do was keep pushing… just as he had been doing over the years.
He grinded his teeth together, trying with all his strength to break himself away from Tiery's grip.
However, it didn't even budge, despite him using with all his might to try and break it.
Tiery simply ignored Alex, something which annoyed him even further.
His gaze turned back to the lifeless body of Bel'ney, which was still laying on the ground, face deep in the pool of his own vomit.
"Perhaps I shouldn't have killed him just yet, now this place reeks even more." He muttered, his face cringing slightly. "Whatever though."
His head then turned back to the two, who were still struggling against his metal arms.
The other slaves cowered away to the corner, trying their best to avoid his gaze in fear.
"What were you aiming to achieve by beating him? Were you trying to start another rebellion, to be free?" He asked, turning back to Alex.
"You know that won't work. Whatever plan you have, it'll fail." Tiery said, scoffing under his breath. "And the blood on your hands will just pile up… Scarred King."
Hearing those words, Alex's gaze burned even fiercer with anger. However, he couldn't do anything, only struggling helplessly to free himself.
