Chapter 53 - Chapter 52 - Roxas' Beliefs and Values

Third person POV

A few days passed, and Roxas and his team of friends became stronger and stronger. Their stats and levels had grown slowly but consistently. Anko and Hideyoshi had proven themselves to be extremely useful for their vessels and their friends. At the same time, Arashi joined their team, much to their delight and welcoming positivity. Arashi was Level 23 at this point, while Roxas is Level 30. Their days are full of school, friendship, and gamely quests. Also, Roxas made a third attempt at the Tower of the game. So far, he had conquered 10 floors, and Roxas got hurt 6 times in total. And then, Anko revealed to him that the Tower had 100 floors total, much to Roxas and his team's shock.

 "What?!"

 "You're kidding me, right?"

 "No way!"

"Yes, it was," replied Anko solemnly. "You have to beat all 100 of them to beat the game."

Roxas felt overwhelmed by this seemingly impossible task, but he, as a Filipino, believed that he should not give up and keep on trying until he had achieved it.

Roxas believed in trial and error, persistence, cooperation, not giving up, hard work, honesty, and kindness, not just to others, but to himself, too. These are some of the values he had grown up with and being taught by his parents and friends back in the Philippines. These had influenced him and shaped his present personality as a person.

So, with those values equipped in his mind and heart, Roxas said to his friends, "Let's just continue on. We can stop and leave if you guys don't feel like continuing on." Upon hearing that, Shuto and the others were stunned but agreed with him because of how kind and reliable Roxas was as a party leader. Anko was enamored by his understanding nature and was inspired by him. "Man, Roxas-kun is so cool and kind…" his mind said in admiration and amazement.

And so, all of them continued on through the Tower. At the same time, all this time, the Elite Players had been watching them the whole time, seeing their progress. These strong and evil-controlled players are determined not to let them win the game, or else, it will be over for the game's creator.
