Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 – New school, strange person

???'s POV

I was excited. Why? Because in just an hour more, I will be landing in Japan to start my high school life there. Okay, what do I mean by that?

Well, it's a long story. But to summarize, I am a foreigner from the Philippines, going to Japan for my senior high school education. Before leaving for Japan, I received a letter of offer from a private high school that is said to be a prestigious one. Lured by its offer of free housing and nice school programs, I accepted it and the next day after that, I packed up and left my hometown, Iloilo City, for Japan.

But at the same time, I was a bit nervous because I am a foreigner, and I would feel like I was a stranger in a foreign land. However, my personality can adapt to any environment I would end up in.

Hi there, my name is Roxas Nietes, and I am from the Philippines. This is my story.

Later, at 11:25 a.m., the plane arrived at Japan's Narita International Airport, and it parked in one of the slots in one of its terminals. Once the other passengers and I were allowed to unbuckle our seatbelts, we stood up to get our belongings from the overhead bins. After that, we all got off the plane and went into the terminal via a jetway.

Now in Narita International Airport's terminal, I was walking towards immigration first, then security second. The processes were smooth, and I went through without a hitch. After that, I went down the escalator in the baggage hall to pick up my luggage, which only consisted of my dark blue and dark grey roller bag. I only had my blue and black backpack and dark blue and dark purple, shoulder, messenger bag as my carry-on bags on the plane. So, there, I waited for a bit, and when I saw it, I grabbed it and put it on the tiled floor. Then, I pulled its handle out and left the terminal with it.

When that was done, I proceeded to the airport's train station so I could take a train to the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Prior to arriving in Japan, I read a brochure about Japan's huge and extensive train system, and I read that I could take a train from Narita International Airport to the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Furthermore, I can purchase a train card that can be used in almost all of the trains in the whole of Japan. So, there I bought that card for 1,500 yen, and it has a 30,000-yen balance in it. After that, I used it to pass through the ticket gates, and I stood at the train platform to wait for a train.

After a bit of waiting, a train bound for Tokyo arrived, and it opened its doors. Now, I stood up, grabbed my belongings, and boarded that train. Inside one of the train cars, I occupied a seat for four with a table and placed my roller bag in a separate section for bulky, roller bags and my backpack in the overhead compartment above my seat. After that, I sat down, placed my shoulder bag next to me, and looked out the window. 2 minutes had passed, and the train closed its doors, before starting to leave the station and going towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Area in the west and southwest.

Third person POV

Along the way, as the train went through, Roxas was gazing at the view through the window while listening to music on his phone. He was wondering what school would look like when he arrived there, as well as the shared house he will be assigned to. His new school, which is called the Kanagawa International Academy, is in Kanagawa, and he knew that he needed to take multiple trains in order to get there. But he was pretty optimistic about his new life in Japan as a freshman in high school.

But, somewhere, not in the real world, but in the gaming world of a game known as Sword Arts Online, something bad happened. The creator of the game started to take control of some of the strong players in the games. They were Kirito and his friends. The creator controlled them while in one of the battles, turning them into evil villains and making them lose their true selves. Seeing that made one player in particular, Anko Tachibana, try his luck of going back to the real world for a bit. He did so, and he immediately wrote a message of help in the form of an email. Once he had sent it into the space of the internet, he went back to the game to try his best and luck of surviving in it. But then, disaster is just 2 months away.
