Third person POV
Later, at 1:23 p.m., Roxas had arrived in Tokyo's big train terminal and interchange and got off the train with his belongings. After passing through the ticket gates, he went to another train to ride it to Kanagawa. After some time, he arrived at Kanagawa's train station and got off once again. After that, he took a taxi to the school.
Then, at 1:46 p.m., he arrived at the front gate of his new school, and he got off the taxi with his belongings, before paying for the fare. Once the taxi left the scene, Roxas looked at the exterior of the main school building, which is sleek and modern. He felt he could make good memories in that school, especially in one of its shared houses. So, he took a deep breath and entered the campus ground while carrying his belongings along. He walked towards a building, which is the gymnasium, only to see desks for admission. Assuming that it was a place where he could confirm his entry into the school by a letter of offer, Roxas entered with his belongings. There the young foreigner went up to one of the desks and asked the person, "Good morning, sir, is this where I can confirm my entry into this school?"
Luckily, he learned enough Japanese to speak to locals here in Japan but still learning it.
The person, who was faculty staff member, then responded nicely, "Yes, this is the place. Are you a new student here?"
"Yes, I am," Roxas replied back, "I entered this school via a letter of offer I received yesterday."
"Ah, okay, can you show me the letter of it?"
Roxas opened his messenger bag, grabbed a piece of paper and its envelope, and handed it to the staff member.
The staff member then grabbed it and checked for its validity and authenticity.
The letter was addressed to one Roxas Torre Agbayani-Nietes, which is Roxas himself.
So, the staff member put it down and said to him, "Okay, it was confirmed. You're from the Philippines, right?"
"Yes, I am," Roxas politely replied. "My name is Roxas Torre Agbayani-Nietes. I am 16 years old."
"Okay then, good, are you a freshman or a transfer student here?"
"I am a freshman."
"Ah, I see. Welcome to the school, Nietes-san."
Roxas was overjoyed that he was accepted into the school. "Thank you so much, sir!"
The staff member then smiled at him for a few seconds. "You're welcome. As for your accommodation, you can receive the address of your assigned shared house and room key from that desk over there."
For the last part, he pointed at another desk on his left.
Roxas saw that and said to the member once again. "Yes, thank you, sir."
He then grabbed his belongings and went to that desk.
The staff member then handed the letter to that desk's person, who received it and read it for a bit.
Then, that person, a female teacher, looked at him. "You're Roxas Nietes, right?"
"Yes, I am," Roxas nicely and politely replied.
"You're 16 as of now, right?" the teacher asked, before looking at a database of new students in her laptop for confirmation.
"Yes, I am."
Seeing that she was right, the teacher grabbed a piece of paper, which contains the address of his shared house, and a room key and gave them to Roxas. "Here's your assigned shared house. It was located south of this school, just 20 minutes away from here."
Receiving both items, Roxas responded back, "Thank you so much, ma'am."
"Yes, you may go to your assigned shared house. School will start in April 5."
Roxas got that and left the place with his belongings to go to his assigned shared house south of the school campus.
Later, after some time, he arrived there, which is a modest Japanese house with a nice front yard and concrete fence, as well as a metal front gate. The surrounding area is typical Japanese neighborhood.
"Woah, this is it?" Roxas asked himself, before checking the address contained on the piece of paper if he had gone to the right place.
It wasn't enough for him, though, so he went in through the front gate and knocked on the front door. "Hello? Anyone home?"
Luckily, someone answered it, and he looked at Roxas. "Oh, hi there, who are you?"
That person was Shuto Hatanaka, a purple-haired, blue-eyed, freshman student from Chiba City.
"Hi there," Roxas responded back nicely, "is this place S-2?"
He then showed him the address.
Shuto checked it and confirmed that it was the right one. "Yes, this is it. Are you a new student of our school?"
"Yes, I am, my name is Roxas Nietes of the Philippines," Roxas responded back with a quick bow, "nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too, Roxas-kun. My name is Shuto Hatanaka. Come in, come in."
Roxas did so, and Shuto helped out with his luggage.
Shuto then closed the door.
Inside the house, Roxas took off his shoes as a cultural custom in Japan and walked over to the living room, admiring the beauty of its looks. The living room, as well as the other rooms in the first floor, were nice and modest.
"Welcome to your new home, my friend," Shuto said to him as he walked to the living room with Roxas' roller bag.
"Thank you, Shuto-kun," Roxas replied gratefully.
"Wow, you added an honorific on my name, did you?" Shuto asked with a poetical tone on his voice. "You knew about Japanese honorifics, did you?"
Roxas then nodded. "Yes, from anime."
Shuto laughed. "Nice one, research before going here is a good idea!"
And then, both boys heard some gaming sounds from the living room's flat screen TV and looked at it.
Another housemate was playing a video game at this hour, and the volume of it is a bit loud.
