Sophia was sitting on the bench by the lake, enjoying the peaceful moment when she heard a voice calling her name. She recognised it and not wanting to ruin her mood stood up and walked in opposite direction without looking back.
Liam chased Sophia while calling out her name and soon caught up to her. He held her hand and she struggled to get out of his hold.
"Let go.", Sophia said, disgusted by his touch.
"Sophia listen to me once.", Liam spoke without releasing his hold.
"I said let go.", Sophia spoke in a warning tone this time and he released her hand but didn't leave her way.
Sophia turned around but he again stood in front of her.
"What do you want now?", Sophia asked clearly annoyed by him.
"Sophia I am sorry that I couldn't come on time yesterday for our wedding. But we can get married now. Let's go.", Liam spoke, feeling like he was doing her a favour.
"What? Are you our of your mind? You think I would marry you after what you did?", Sophia scoffed seeing his confidence.
"What do you mean? I just drank too much and passed out. Didn't I ask Jessica to inform you. I went partying with my friends night before and I just got a little over drunk. Wasn't it because I was happy to finally marry you?", Liam said, blaming her for not being understanding of his situation.
"You can keep these lies for someone else, I don't need to hear any of your bullshit.", Sophia said and turned to walk away, not being able to see his face anymore .
"Why are you throwing a tantrum, Sophia? You are not a kid. Behave more sensible, will you?", Liam spoke harshly while grabbing her by her both arms.
"Liam leave me this instant or I won't be polite anymore.", Sophia said struggling to get out of his hold.
"I won't. What can you do to me? I know you are angry because I left you waiting at the alter and you became a laughing stock in society but is your so-called pride more important or our marriage more important to you, huh!?", Liam spoke in an agitated voice and his grip tightening around her forearms.
Just then Daniel and Noah reached there and saw this scene. Before Noah could even go to beat the shit out of that rascal, he saw Daniel jerking off Liam by holding both his wrists.
"Are you okay?", Daniel looked at Sophia who nodded her head while looking down.
She was a little afraid that he might misunderstand her.
Daniel looked at her arms which were now strikingly red, showing how tight Liam's grip was.
Daniel turned towards Liam who was now glaring at him and he punched him right on his nose. Liam fell down staggering and his nose was bleeding.
"Who the fuck are you? Stay away from our business.", Liam said while standing up, struggling because of the pain.
"I can sue you for intentional harm.", Liam continued thinking he was just some passer-by.
"Sue me then. But you better stay away from my wife or I will make sure you won't appear on this earth anymore. Get that straight into your head.", Daniel spoke and everyone could feel the pressure that radiated from his one hard look.
Sophia was feeling a bit unnatural seeing he didn't question her rather took a stand for her. She didn't get scared of the gloomy look Daniel had right now. In fact, she felt happy in her heart.
"What? Wife? Sophia I just couldn't come because of my health and you married another man. How desperate were you, huh!?", Liam spoke accusingly and this time it was Noah who punched him and he staggered a few steps back.
"You piece of sh*t. Who allowed you to talk to my sister like that.", Noah said glaring at him.
"Why can't I say it? Your sister chested on me. She claimed to love me and see her now. She married someone just like that.", Liam said, displaying himself as the victim perfectly.
Noah was about to say something when Sophia held his hand and shook her head at him. She walked a step forward and stood looking straight at Liam.
"You very well know if I was the one who cheated on you or it was you who has been who*ing around since years. You were the one who couldn't keep his belt tied and you are here to question me.", Sophia spoke in her casual voice as if it doesn't matter to her much and actually it didn't.
Sophia saw Liam's eyes were enlarged thinking how she knew about it.
"You don't have to guess how I know. It doesn't matter but if you don't want me to take my revenge then you better stay away from me and also keep your mistress out of my path.", Sophia said and turned around.
She took hold of Daniel's hand and walked away. Noah followed behind them cursing Liam, he knew he wasn't a good man but he was cheating on his sister and still behaving so noble. Disgusting.
Daniel, on the other hand, was feeling giddy feeling Sophia's soft palm in his hard, calloused one.
He walked letting Sophia lead him and just looked at their intertwined hands. He was still flying away in his mind when Sophia let go of her hold on him and he frowned feeling her missing touch.
Daniel looked up and saw that they reached the Miller house and were standing in the living room. He didn't even know when they entered.
Anna and Edward came forward and asked if everything was okay and they just said it's all good.
"Let me get my bags.", Sophia said to Daniel and turned to walk towards the stairs.
"I will ask someone to get it miss.", Uncle David said and Sophia nodded her head. He asked two servants to get Sophia's luggage from her room.
