The next day, I woke up to soft light filtering through the curtains. I looked around and saw Wang Muchen sitting at the edge of the bed. He turned around, noticing my movements. He leaned over with a smile and placed a kiss on my forehead.
"Awake?"
I hummed imperceptibly and pushed him lightly away when he came down for a kiss.
"I haven't brushed yet"
He chuckled slightly and leaned back giving me space to clean up.
I brushed my teeth and had a quick shower while I was at it and then we headed downstairs.
I paused slightly on the stairs before I picked up walking again. Good guy, everyone was there! Grandpa, Dad, Aunt Xiu and Zhu Hui Ying. When they heard us coming down, they all turned to the stairs in sync and I felt my scalp go numb from their obvious gazes.
I walked to the table and said good morning to everyone with Wang Muchen at my heels.
