Chapter 38 - Kakashi Gambling

Although Kakashi needed two days to recover, he started heading towards the next target town on the second day, albeit at a slower pace.

Over the next week, Kakashi visited over a dozen towns, and finally, in a gambling den, he obtained recent information about Tsunade!

"Half a month ago, she was in Bulong Street, a town at the border between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Fire. She shouldn't have left so soon!"

After thanking the gambler who had come from Bulong Street for the information, Kakashi quickly left and headed full speed towards Bulong Street!

A day later, Kakashi entered the Land of Lightning and arrived at Bulong Street.

"Get out! You're lucky we didn't break your hands for cheating here!"

When Kakashi arrived at the entrance of the largest casino on Bulong Street, he saw a boy a year or two younger than him being thrown out by the casino's bouncers. The boy hit the ground with a thud and coughed up a mouthful of blood, clearly injured.

The burly bouncers looked at the boy's miserable state with mocking satisfaction.

The people on the surrounding streets immediately turned to look, and upon hearing the bouncers' words, they pointed at the boy with disdain. They despised people who cheated at gambling. Only a few women looked at the boy with pity.

Of course, some people looked skeptical. How could a kid have the guts to cheat in a casino?

"I... I didn't cheat; you're framing me..."

Hearing the bouncers' words, the boy's pale face flushed with anger. He got up and angrily retorted, his eyes showing a sad expression. Thinking about the money that had been taken from him, he panicked. "I... I don't want to take your money, just give me back my money. I need it to buy medicine for my mother..."

"Get out! Our casino never wrongs our guests. You cheated and still won't admit it? Do you want us to break your hands before you leave?"

The bouncer who had thrown the boy out changed his expression and shouted at the boy with a fierce look.

"I..."

The boy was clearly scared, his face turning pale, his lips trembling, and he didn't dare say anything.

Slowly turning around, the boy didn't say a word, stumbling away with his head down, his shoulders visibly shaking. Kakashi could see that the boy's fists were tightly clenched.

Watching the boy leave, Kakashi's expression grew dark. From what had just happened and the bouncers' behavior, Kakashi was sure the boy had been wronged. This reminded Kakashi of his own experiences in the real world; he had been wronged like that before.

Kakashi hated such casinos. As he came back to his senses, he saw that the boy had already walked far away.

Swish!

Feeling indignant about the boy's similar fate, Kakashi quickly followed the boy, appearing in front of him in an instant, startling him.

"You... what do you want?"

Seeing Kakashi's ninja attire, the boy was shocked and then spoke with a trembling voice, his eyes filled with curiosity as he secretly observed Kakashi. Although he had heard of ninja legends, he had rarely seen one in reality, especially this close.

"Tell me what happened in the casino."

Kakashi looked at the boy and said calmly, "If the casino really wronged you, I'll help you get your money back."

"Ah..."

The boy was surprised and then overjoyed, knowing that a ninja was willing to help him. He immediately told Kakashi what had happened and also explained his situation.

The boy, named Kurosaki, had been fascinated by gambling since he accidentally entered a casino with a friend last year. Today, he was out to buy medicine for his mother but couldn't resist entering the casino as he passed by.

Today, Kurosaki's luck was excellent, winning every round. Just when he was about to leave with a pile of winnings to buy medicine for his mother, the casino accused him of cheating, taking all his winnings and the money he had. Then came the scene Kakashi had witnessed.

"Come with me; I'll help you get your money back."

After listening to the boy's story and confirming that he wasn't lying, Kakashi said calmly, "And don't gamble again. There are no good people in casinos."

There were many people like Kurosaki in the world. Kakashi wanted to help him because his experience was similar to Kakashi's past life, and he happened to encounter him. As for being confident in winning the money back, Kakashi had some gambling skills and could cheat using chakra, which was easy for him.

Of course, cheating with chakra required a high level of control over it.

After speaking, Kakashi turned and walked towards the casino, with Kurosaki stumbling along excitedly behind him. He wouldn't dare enter a casino again after this lesson.

Once inside the casino, Kakashi started gambling, using his excellent chakra control to cheat and win repeatedly, quickly earning a lot of money.

Unbeknownst to Kakashi, two women had entered the casino at some point: a voluptuous blonde woman and a black-haired girl holding a pink pig in her arms.

The two women quickly noticed Kakashi gambling. Seeing him use chakra to cheat, their eyes showed disdain.

"Lady Tsunade, that person is cheating with chakra!"

The black-haired girl looked at Kakashi's back with disdain and whispered to the blonde woman next to her.
