"No, I promised my teacher and comrades to live on with Obito's eyes and to carry out his goal of becoming Hokage!"
After standing still for a moment, Kakashi spoke resolutely. If he were to give up on the Sharingan, he would have done so long ago. Since he decided to keep it, he would remain steadfast, even if his spoken reason wasn't the real one.
"Hokage, huh? Hmph, with the Sharingan, you have no chance of becoming Hokage," Tsunade retorted bluntly. As one of Konoha's most outstanding geniuses, she didn't want Kakashi's potential wasted because of the Sharingan.
"There are no absolutes in this world. I believe I will become Hokage!" Kakashi responded confidently, undeterred by Tsunade's words. He knew that if his Sharingan evolved into the Mangekyō Sharingan, he would have the strength to become Hokage. In the original timeline, he almost achieved that position.
Seeing Kakashi's confidence, Shizune's heart trembled slightly. She found his demeanour imposing and remarkable. Although she couldn't see his face, she couldn't help but think he was handsome.
Tsunade sighed inwardly, realising that persuading him was futile. "Alright, while I can't solve your Sharingan problem entirely, I can help increase the compatibility between your body and the Sharingan, reducing your chakra consumption."
"But there's a condition. You have to beat me first."
"Really?" Kakashi exclaimed, surprised and delighted by Tsunade's offer.
"Of course, but first, you must win against me without using chakra to cheat," Tsunade smiled faintly. She had already decided to help Kakashi alleviate his Sharingan issue, but she wanted an excuse to do so, knowing her luck with gambling was notoriously bad.
Shizune chuckled inwardly, understanding Tsunade's intentions and feeling happy for Kakashi. Her earlier misunderstanding of Kakashi made her feel guilty, leading her to consider his perspective.
"Alright, I'll gamble with you!" Kakashi agreed without hesitation. There was no mention of consequences for losing, and winning would secure Tsunade's help, so why not?
Seeing Kakashi agree so readily, Tsunade was momentarily surprised. Noticing his subtle smile, she quickly understood. Her seductive lips curled slightly.
"Disagree so quickly. If you lose, you will have to pay a certain price," Tsunade said with a playful glint in her eyes.
Uh!
Kakashi hadn't expected Tsunade to change her tone suddenly, but to alleviate the Sharingan's problem, he asked, "What price?"
