Both Gold and Amelia stare each other down for a minute before Gold turns around and Amelia picks me up while running her hand through my fur. 'Ah. I guess everything fine?'
Waiting for Gold to enter the Pokecenter, Amelia brings me there and as soon as we enter the Pokecenter we see Gold being chewed out by nurse Joy. As the door closes she turns towards us and quickly waves her over with a frankly terrifying look.
'I'm glad I don't have to deal with that....Frick I forgot to study I still don't know how to write and read.' I hear Amelia take a gulp upon seeing nurse Joy's expression and she shakily walks towards her.
"Hello! I was just wondering what were you both doing outside? I know the arena is free use but you have to be more careful after all I've got a Pichu with quite the nasty bite and from what I can see with your Eevee its probably going through muscle spasms and harsh pain."
I see Amelia flinch at my impromptu diagnosis as she looks over me and Pibu who is still in Gold's arms though the little rats now conscious . 'I mean she isn't wrong, all my muscles hurt like a bitch. Plus how is he already awake?' Allowing nurse Joy to lecture both Gold and Amelia over their Pokemon's safety I look over the Pichu.
"Harsh pain huh? Your little fire trick was mild at best!" Pibu shouts slightly at me while Gold is attempting to have his ears bleed due the progressively more agitated lecture due to Gold's nonchalance.
Rolling my eyes at the competitive mouse I respond "Whatever, she just exaggerating it. Besided your thunder was more like a spark I didn't really feel it unlike you. You went unconscious just from one of my mild fires."
Pibu gives me a grin before both of use are ripped away from our trainers by a deceptively powerful Chansey, placing us on a cart we're wheeled away to the back of the Pokecenter. "Come with me you two. Both of you are getting your treatment." The Chansey says in a sweet almost grandma voice.
'I've been wondering what's behind a Pokecenter ever since I've been a kid.' Getting wheeled down both of us past by white average hospital walls. 'I don't know what I expected...'

"Ow!" Pibu shouts after touching is bandage covering the burns on his back and side.
'It was just a actual hosptial visit. Though Pibu wouldn't shut up. Now that I think about it Pibu fucking sucks as nickname, though it makes sense the Gold would name his Pokemon like that he's a teen with no creativity.' Walking with Pibu as we've just been discharged, it took an hour for both of us and while I could've left I waited for Pibu.
"Soooooo are we friends?" Pibu in a rare case of shyness asks me while we're walking out towards the lobby of the Pokecenter. "Do you want to be? You do know we probably won't see each other again for a while at least. Right?"
Looking back at the Pichu he has a slight blush on his face. "Of course I know that! It's just most people don't really like me. Other than my parents but they don't count!"
Pibu's blush has expanded to his entire face as I watch him. 'That's adorable! I do feel conflicted about hanging out with a kid but he kinda reminds me of my little brother. They act basically the same....What was his name?.....'
Shaking my head slightly I answer the squirming Pichu. "Sure. If you can't get any other friends, I'l play with you!" At my answer Pibu's face gets a deeper red this time in both embarrassment and anger as he tries to attack me.

It isn't as big as last time I promise. I'm gonna go over how machinery in the world works!
Firstly! Most things are power through electricity which is gathered through multiple ways like solar and wind power but no nuclear power. In short nuclear technology doesn't exist, either due to Pokemon being enough of a weapon to make nuclear weapons not needed or other reasons nuclear technology is very unexplored. This means the total amount of energy produced is quite low compared to how many people are on the planet. This planet houses around 17 billion humans and is around 7 times bigger than Earth! Due to this energy crisis our Pokemon energy of PE for short is used in replacement. This energy powers certain machines like the Pokehealer as it directly heals the Pokemon using this energy although it has limits of course!
