Synopsis
As Astrid uncovers the unfinished tale of her mother's star-crossed love, she discovers a heart wrenching story that echoes through the sand of time. Luna and cayos whirlwind romance was a symphony of souls, their love so profound that fate itself couldn't silence it's melody. Though status and circumstances tore them apart, their bond remained unbroken, a beacon of hope in the darkness. Through Luna's diary entries, Astrid feels the ache of her mother's longing and the warmth of cayos embrace. She witnesses the tender moments they shared, their dreams of a future that never came to be. And she realizes that her own existence is a testament to the enduring power of their love. The diary was meant for their future kid, but was buried in the middle of the earth. ".….. cayo, I want our kids fo have your eyes, because am always lost in them" Luna said hugging cayos arm. " But I want our daughter to be a carbon copy of you my love, because I want to see that beautiful face of your forever, wherever I look" cayo said. " Let her have your eyes please" Luna begged cutely. " No sweetheart, I agree our son can look like me and have my eyes, but I want our daughter to look just like you" cayo said. " Fine, but what shall we name her" Luna asked looking up at him. " Astrid, which means beautiful, and beautiful means you" cayo said cupping her face. Looking at herself in the mirror she realized even thou she wasn't cayos daughter, she was exactly their dream child, a carbon copy of her mother and a name, Astrid which they wanted to give their child. Chapter 1 - Chapter one

" Cayo, am sorry, I thought we were going to last forever but I guess not, but remember, I would always love you and only you, no one else, they might have succeeded in separating us, but you would always be my one true love" Luna said, as hot tears streamed down her face like waterfall.

Under the falling flowers, in the chilly cold night of October, two hearts that beat as one are forced to beat as half.

20 years later.

" Dad plz stop hitting mom I beg you" Astrid cried as she watched her father beat up her mother.

" I don't give a damn about both you and your mother, you can go to hell for all I care, to say after all this years she hasn't forgotten that boy despite been my wife sickens me" Orion said as he kicked Luna in the stomach and walked out.

Luna was left on the floor, beaten, as she bled from her head. Astrid rushed her mother to the hospital and called her old grandparents to come.

Upon seeing her condition Luna's parents started crying. " Grandma, grandpa, what is all that is happening, and what was dad saying, he said something like she can't forget that boy even after so many years. What's happening someone please explain to me" Astrid cried.

"My dear, it's all our fault, if we didn't separate them, and forced her to marry your father, all this wouldn't have happened, we are to blame for our daughters misfortune. Everytime I look at her my heart tears up, her eyes are dead and they long for him, while her body keeps moving"

" And to top up with all how your dad is treating her, I wish she had disrespected me and ran away, atleast she would have been happy" Luna's father said as he burst out crying.

" What do you mean, plz tell me clearly" Astrid asked confused.

" My dear, it's a tale of unfinished love story...." Luna's mother said.

" Grandma, grandpa, so do you two mean to tell me you separated two lovers, why and for what reason" Astrid asked as she was also in love and can't bear it if someone were to separate her from her boyfriend, what must haver her mother gone through after been separated from the one she loved, she thought with tears.

"Sweetheart come here, let's sit and talk" Luna's mother said as she led Astrid through the white halls of the hospital to a quiet corner and sat her down on the hospitals bench.

" Listen my dear, it's been so many years now I can't remember everything clearly, but yes, I can never forget cayo, they used to love eachother alot, but we wanted her to marry Orion. I can't remember the story, but am sure you would find all that is needed in your mother's diary. I saw her bury it in our backyard a day to her wedding, go my dear, go and find it, it's the only thing that can answer your question" Maria said.

I walked back to the operation theater where mother's operation was performed, I asked a nurse and she said mother's condition is critical, and the operation is still going on.

I thought I should go and read the diary before mom was out of the OT so that when she wakes up my questions would have answers and I can probably find a way to help mom out.

I walked out of the hospital and drove my car across the silent streets of Brazil, it was eerily silent as it was midnight, my heart was pounding, what am I about to uncover, I thought to myself.

Soon I was at the gate of grandpa's house. The iron gate stood tall and strong so did the beautiful building, my grandparents were successful business people of their times.

I honked my car twice and less than a minute the grumpy gate man came and open the gates for me after seeing my face.

I didn't waste any time and went straight to the backyard. They were beautiful flowers everywhere, now where will I know where mom buried the diary. I searched for a few minutes till I found a spot that seemed to be hiding secrets.

I looked for a small shovel and started digging away, soon I saw something wrapped In a brown cloth, when I picked it up I realized it wasn't brown but white, time made if change it's color.

I opened the clothes and saw a leather diary, a single word was engraved in it, lunayo, which seemed to be a combination of Luna and cayo.

I opened the first page, and sweet sent of jasmine and old times wafted my nose.

The diary.

Hey dear future kid, am your Mommy, and I want to tell you the beautiful love story of your parents, lol, we aren't married yet, but am sure we would soon be married and bring you to this world, then I would give you this diary to know all about your parents love story.

1st July 2004

The first day I met your dad, I was walking through the hallway of our school with my friends. The air was blowing and I got hair on my face, I didn't notice as I bumped straight into him and all my books fell down.

He bent down and helped me picked them up, and muttered a sorry to me, I found him cute, green eyes, black hair and a beautiful stature, his bag was lazily placed on his shoulder and he looked absolutely gorgeous.

Our eyes met and a millions of feelings were conveyed in that short time. We both went out ways, but later on, the teacher introduced him as our new classmate and assigned him a seat next to me and I was tasked to assist him in everything till he got comfortable with the school.

I turned to meet his beautiful green eyes and our eyes locked again, " my name is Luna" I said extending my hand for a shake.

" Cayo" he said In a gorgeous voice that's sounded like music to the ears and a beautiful smile that could melt away ice. And when our hands met, I felt electric current run through to my brain.....
