Chapter 82 - Chapter-79

Under the pouring rain, the two combatants clashed fiercely. Every blow sent sparks flying and echoed with the sharp sound of metal striking metal. On one side stood Thor, the son of Odin, a warrior of Asgard who had fought in countless battles. Despite having his divine powers sealed, his experience in combat remained. Wielding the long knife like a hammer, his attacks were broad and powerful.

On the other side was the Predator, a seasoned jungle hunter from the universe, honed by dangerous hunts. The Predator fought with precision and lethal intent. Its wrist-mounted steel claws moved like venomous snakes, aiming for deadly strikes.

Clang!

Another explosion of sparks flew as their weapons collided, and both combatants separated momentarily. Thor glanced down at the two fresh wounds across his chest and met the Predator's gaze with determination. A fierce fighting spirit rose within him.

"Come on!" Thor shook the long knife and charged forward again. Though stripped of his divine power and hammer, he remained an Asgardian warrior at heart.

The Predator, Kalmi, glanced at the green wound on its abdomen, roared in excitement with its worm-like mouth wide open, and rushed forward, claws flashing in the rain.

Meanwhile, Merlin followed Coulson to where Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, rested. The silver hammer, glowing faintly in the rain, caught Merlin's attention. Curious, he turned to Coulson. "I heard no one can lift this hammer. Let me give it a try."

With a slight nod from Coulson, Merlin's backpack swiftly transformed into armor that enveloped him. Then, riding his flying sword like a skateboard, he soared towards Mjolnir.

"Sir..." A bald agent with glasses looked at Coulson with questioning eyes as Merlin approached the hammer.

"It's fine, let him try," Coulson replied, his attention still on the fierce battle between Thor and the Predator. He had a strong feeling that this hammer was connected to the strange blond man.

Merlin landed near Thor's hammer, with his flying sword hovering behind him like a drone. "Alright, little hammer, I'm a man of justice—don't make me look bad," Merlin muttered, taking a deep breath. His armored hands grasped the hammer's handle tightly.

"Ugh!!!" The hammer didn't budge.

"Hmm!!!" Merlin strained harder, but Mjolnir remained as immovable as ever.

Eventually, Merlin released the handle, hands on his hips, staring helplessly at the motionless hammer. "Huh... okay, you win."

He realized Odin's enchantments were still too powerful for him. "If only I had galaxy-level strength," he thought. "Maybe then I could crush this thing, like Hela."

It's better to unlock more games as soon as possible. On the other side, the battle between the muddy Thor and the Predator seemed to be coming to an end. Both were covered in scars, and under the heavy rain, green and red blood soaked into the muddy ground.

"Hawkeye, stop them!" Coulson called into his headset, noticing the brutal standoff.

"Roger that," Hawkeye responded. He swapped his arrows for electric grid ones, ready to intervene. However, just as he was about to shoot, something caught his attention. He swiftly turned around.

Whoosh!

The electric grid arrow flew and struck its target. Zzzzzz... High-voltage electricity surged through an alien creature that had silently appeared behind him. This being, nearly three meters tall, had a pitch-black body, a long, narrow head, exposed fangs, and a terrifying presence. Startled, Hawkeye quickly kicked the creature off the hoist basket while it was paralyzed by the current.

Hisss...

The alien's acidic blood dripped and rapidly burned a hole through the hoist basket. Hawkeye glanced toward the crane's control room. It was drenched in blood, and the operator's body was being devoured by another alien.

"Enemy attack!" he shouted.

Suddenly, the base erupted into chaos. Gunfire and terrified screams echoed through the rain, accompanied by the sharp roars of the invading aliens.

The ongoing duel between Thor and the Predator, Kalmi, came to an abrupt halt as both turned their attention to the sudden chaos. An alien fell from above, and a plasma cannon emerged from Kalmi's shoulder, aimed at the bone-like monster that had appeared. Sensing danger, Kalmi swiftly put his mask back on and activated his cloaking ability. However, under the rain, his figure was still faintly visible.

Roar!!!

But the alien only roared in pain and flicked its tail, throwing the invisible Kalmi away. Bang! Mud and rain splashed in all directions as Kalmi crashed into the ground. Thor glanced at the fallen Predator, then at the alien charging toward him. Gripping the long knife, Thor rushed forward.

The alien's muscular body slammed down onto Kalmi, pinning him to the ground.

Roar!!!

Kalmi's steel claws dug into the alien's jaw, struggling to keep its deadly bite at bay. The plasma cannon on his shoulder flickered, ready to fire.

Slash!

A sudden flash of light—a knife—swiftly severed the alien's head. The creature, which had been viciously attacking moments before, collapsed instantly.

Sizzle...

As the alien's acidic blood splattered onto Thor, it quickly burned into his armor, leaving scorched black marks.

Bang!

Kalmi hurriedly tossed the alien aside and ripped off his corroded clothes in a panic, glaring furiously at Thor.

"Ah..." Thor, holding the knife, smiled awkwardly. He hadn't realized the creature's blood was so acidic.

Roar!!!

A familiar roar echoed once again. Kalmi turned his head, stunned for a moment. He saw the decapitated vampire-like alien picking up its severed head and reattaching it. The broken tissue fused back together at an astonishing speed.

Merlin, who had been watching, was equally surprised. "It seems to be even stronger than a vampire," he remarked. The alien had clearly consumed a significant amount of flesh and blood to reach this level.

Kalmi grabbed Thor's long knife and charged back into the fight. The alien, now possessing vampire traits, was not only agile and powerful but also exhibited a remarkable healing ability. Even Kalmi found himself struggling against the creature.

As the battle raged on, Kalmi began to notice something—while the alien had extraordinary healing abilities, its recovery speed slowed down as the number of injuries increased. The more damage it sustained, the less effective its regeneration became.
