The missile exploded in mid-air behind Elektra, and the scorching airwave propelled her forward. Amidst the chaos, a sharp whistling sound pierced the air.
"Bang!" A batarang embedded itself into the stone wall.
Elektra gritted her teeth against the burning pain from her back and glanced toward the exit. Bullseye, with his signature target on his forehead, was staring at her coldly, a playing card twirling between his fingers as if by magic. If it weren't for Tony's missile, Elektra might have been hit by the batarang.
"Hey! Hey! Don't move! Bald guy!" Tony, now fully suited up in his makeshift armor, stood with his arms raised, ready to fire the missiles housed within.
Bullseye ignored Tony, his focus locked on Elektra. "He is mine!" he warned, his voice cold.
"I got here first." Elektra wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, stood up, and brandished her sai, staring back defiantly.
Although Elektra didn't care much about the mission, abandoning her gains was not her usual approach. Just then, Merlin's voice sounded in the headset.
"Bullseye, remember the rules of the game."
Bullseye twisted his neck and laughed ferociously, "Just kill the target."
"What are you talking about? Do you know each other?" Stark, watching their interaction, looked utterly confused.
However, Elektra and Bullseye both ignored him, treating him as an NPC.
Elektra took the initiative and hurled a sai at Bullseye with incredible speed, the weapon slicing through the air like a sharp sword. At the same time, she burst into motion, transforming into a red blur as she rushed toward him.
Aware of Bullseye's abilities, she knew that close combat would be her best bet.
Bullseye, with his enhanced dynamic vision, easily dodged the incoming sai, catching it effortlessly.
Facing Elektra as she rushed toward him, Bullseye smiled mockingly.
"Here, have it back!" He hurled the sai back at her with even greater speed and precision.
Elektra immediately executed a cartwheel in mid-air, attempting to catch her sai while inverted. However, just as she was about to grab the weapon, a dart suddenly flew from behind, striking the sai.
"Snap!"
"Thud!"
With a burst of sparks, the sai deflected under the impact of the dart and embedded itself in Elektra's palm.
"Good move, Uchiha-style," Merlin remarked, impressed as he watched the scene unfold on the surveillance screen.
Despite the pain, Elektra quickly adapted. As her balance was disrupted, she landed awkwardly but immediately rolled behind a rock for cover. Gritting her teeth, she examined her pierced palm and endured the searing pain.
Blood splattered everywhere as Elektra quickly tore off a piece of cloth from her red outfit and wrapped it around her injured hand, her eyes filled with fierce determination.
"Well...that looks like it really hurts. Brutal," Stark gasped, watching the scene unfold. He had finally figured it out: these two were players who had taken on the mission to rescue him. However, it seemed that their conflict was due to disagreements over the distribution of the spoils.
Realizing this, he stepped aside and watched, realizing the female assassin in red was at a disadvantage in this confrontation.
"Huh huh..." Elektra twirled the sai in her hand before gripping it firmly. Pressing her back against the rock, she waited anxiously.
Bullseye, noticing Elektra's hiding spot, produced three darts from his hand and began to approach cautiously. In the previous battle, he had used up most of his darts, leaving him with only three and a playing card.
Bullseye was getting closer and closer to Elektra. At that moment, there was a sudden sound of footsteps at the exit.
"Stop it. If you have any grudges, let's talk about it after we get out," Natasha said, raising her pistol and aiming at Bullseye.
Bullseye turned his head when he heard the sound, and was about to speak when a strong wind suddenly hit his ears. It was Elektra taking advantage of the distraction!
"Whoosh!" The sharp sai slashed across his throat, drawing a drop of blood before stopping abruptly. Bullseye, unfazed by the wound, gripped Elektra's arm tightly.
As he spoke, the dart on his fingertips swiped across Elektra's wrist, causing her to drop the sai in pain.
"Pfft!"
In the blink of an eye, Bullseye caught the falling sai and drove it into Elektra's chest.
"To be honest, I've been unhappy with you for a long time!" Bullseye approached Elektra, looked into her eyes that were gradually losing focus, and said quietly.
Elektra felt the life draining from her body and stared at Bullseye with an expression of unwillingness.
"Bang!" A huge gunshot suddenly echoed in the cave. Bullseye, who had been looking crazy and arrogant just moments before, widened his eyes in disbelief before falling to the ground with an expression of disbelief.
Frank stood next to Natasha, a cigarette in his mouth, and his smoking gun still in hand.
"Don't hesitate to deal with such a sinful person, even if you are a temporary teammate," he said to Natasha, exhaling smoke.
"Woof woof woof!!!" Amidst the barking, John and Duke arrived at the scene with another person in tow.
At some point, the intense gunfire outside had ceased, leaving an eerie silence in the cave, accompanied by the faint smell of blood.
When Stark came back to his senses, he showed a surprised expression when he saw the person who came in with John.
"Yinsen!"
Yinsen, with some thinning hair, carefully hid next to John, fearing that the big green-haired dog next to him might eat him. Despite the dog having just saved him, it almost bit him. If John hadn't arrived in time to stop it, Yinsen would have been in serious trouble.
"Don't worry, he won't eat people," John explained helplessly.
After the mutation, he clearly warned his dog not to eat humans.
"Woof woof woof!!!" Duke also wagged his tail happily at Yinsen.
Yinsen: "..."
Looking at the lion-like Duke and his cold pupils, he believed that the dog could eat people alive.
"Are you all players who accepted the mission?" Stark, who was wearing armor, asked warily as he looked at the people entering one by one and the ferocious green-haired dog.
"Yes, we are here to save you this time. Is this person your companion?" Frank asked, pointing at Yinsen.
Stark nodded. "Yes, he is. Thank you."
After Natasha took out her ID, Stark relaxed. The chaos between Bullseye and Elektra had made him wary of the group's reliability.
"I remember there were six people taking over the task. There should be one more," Stark said
"He is in heaven"
