"Bang!" After landing, Starscream transformed into a robot and rolled a few times before raising his head in shock to look at his attacker.
"Who is it?"
"Bumblebee?!" Arcee, who had undergone a dramatic transformation, hovered in the air and shouted down.
Bumblebee, recovering from the explosion, looked up at Arcee, clearly astonished. "Arcee?" he called out uncertainly. The Arcee he knew, along with her two sisters, always had much weaker firepower and engine capabilities compared to him. But now, what he saw was an entirely different figure.
Hovering in the sky, Arcee carried a Vulcan machine gun on her shoulder, laser pistols in both hands, and two missile boxes strapped to her back. Blue flames sprayed from an atomic energy engine, supporting her airborne stance.
Compared to the original Arcee, who only wielded two pistols and had a thin frame, this new form was undoubtedly a one-bot arsenal.
Starscream and Barricade stared at Arcee with expressions of disbelief. On Cybertron, they were accustomed to dealing with the Autobots, and Arcee was generally regarded as a minor scout, hardly a threat. But the formidable figure before them was far from the Arcee they used to know.
But now, there was no trace of her previous form.
"Oh, shit, you still have the energy to transform a small robot. You're really a bunch of idiots wasting resources," Starscream mocked as he recovered from his shock.
With Cybertron's resources stretched thin, they were reserved for critical needs. The transformation of Arcee in front of him was undoubtedly a waste in his eyes.
"What I have is not Cybertron technology, you brainless idiot!" Arcee retorted.
"I'll show you that no matter how you transform, you're still just a weak insect." Starscream's engines flared, lifting his massive mechanical body into the air as he charged towards her. Several missiles fired from his back, streaking towards Arcee.
Instead of retreating, Arcee took a deep breath out of habit, a remnant from when she transformed using a piston engine. Despite knowing it was unnecessary, it gave her a psychological boost. With her atomic energy engine now providing far more power, she advanced instead of retreating, rushing headlong towards Starscream.
Arcee's shoulder-mounted Vulcan machine gun roared to life, spraying a stream of bullets at the incoming missiles. Each round hit its mark, causing the missiles to explode mid-air, clearing her path.
"You're not dealing with the same Arcee anymore!" she shouted, dodging Starscream's attack with agility and firing her laser pistols at him. The upgraded firepower caught Starscream off guard, forcing him to maneuver defensively.
The battle in the sky was intense.
Through her light red transparent glasses, Arcee's virtual panel flashed continuously. The red frame blinked a few times, quickly locking onto several missiles.
Arcee raised her guns and pulled the triggers.
A red laser suddenly shot out from her pistols, precisely targeting the incoming missiles.
"Boom boom boom!!!" The sky burst into flames.
"Whoosh!" Arcee broke through the smoke and reached Starscream.
"Try this!" The barrel of her Vulcan Gatling gun slowly rotated, then unleashed a beam of dense bullets straight into Starscream's face.
Up close, she opened fire without hesitation.
"Rat-tat-tat-tat!!!!"
Starscream's face exploded in a burst of fire and oil.
"Ahhhh!!!" Starscream, who had wanted to teach Arcee a lesson, screamed in pain and fell to the ground.
"Starscream?" Roadblock, who was fighting Bumblebee, couldn't help but be stunned when he saw Starscream falling back, covering his face. When did Arcee become so strong?
In the sky, Arcee pursued victory, raining missiles down on Starscream and Roadblock like a curtain of fire.
"Boom boom boom!!!"
"Go!" Arcee glanced at the explosions enveloping Starscream and Roadblock and suddenly shouted to Bumblebee, who was still a bit dazed.
Starscream was right. No matter how much she changed, her size and reserves were still limited. In the recent series of impacts, aside from her pistol's laser, most of the missiles and bullets she carried had been consumed. There was no benefit in continuing the fight.
"Oh!" Bumblebee, snapping back to reality, quickly transformed into a sports car and drove the frightened Sam away, with Arcee following closely from above.
The smoke from the explosion gradually dissipated, revealing Starscream's ferocious face, still leaking fluid, and the tattered red spider-like creature next to him. Under the direct fire from Arcee's Vulcan machine gun, almost no part of Starscream's mouth, eyes, or cheeks remained intact.
"Arcee!!!" Starscream roared unwillingly, his voice seeming to be squeezed out of his throat as he watched Arcee and Bumblebee disappear from sight.
The Roadblock next to him glanced at Starscream with some fear; Starscream's current appearance and voice were indeed terrifying.
Later that night, at Merlin's Modification Shop.
"What? Do you think I'm part of the lottery?" Stark's voice sounded as they got off the helicopter one after another.
"You are worth ten heads, otherwise everyone would go off killing people, and no one would be willing to save you," Merlin said, carrying Elektra's body down with Frank.
Natasha and John lifted Bullseye down together.
"Please, this bet shouldn't exist; it's such child's play," Stark expressed his dissatisfaction with being treated as a lottery ticket. "Just because of this bet, I was shocked by them. You're so unprofessional, recruiting such a lunatic," he said, pointing at Bullseye. "It's a pity that the beauty in red saved me."
It had all happened so fast at the time, and by the time he reacted, both of them had fallen to the ground.
"There is no way. The people who take the mission are all random. You should pray there is only one madman in the team," Merlin said, waving his hand indifferently after placing elektra on the ground. "If the rescue team were all composed like this, you would probably be bleeding heavily by now."
"That's right... people on this gaming platform are really a mixed bag. It seems we won't be able to easily send missions on it in the future," Stark said, feeling a bit frightened.
He didn't want to end up in the wolf's den as soon as he emerged from the tiger's den.
"What do we do with these two?" Natasha asked after placing Bullseye on the ground. John looked at the fallen assassin, unsure.
Although Bullseye and Elektra were known to be excellent mercenary killers, they knew very little about their relatives and friends.
"Just leave it to me," Merlin said.
"Tony!" At this moment, Pepper and Happy, who had been waiting for a long time, came over excitedly.
After Tony confirmed that the mission was completed, he followed Pepper and the others and left first, while John and the others began to share the reward.
Because Bullseye was not dead, his 50 million share was still credited to his player account as promised. Elektra's share was handed over to Merlin.
Everyone didn't value money very much and was ready to leave after getting what they wanted.
"Then who will win the winnings from this bet?" Natasha suddenly asked.
Frank and John, who were about to leave, also stopped in unison.
"Let me see..." Merlin turned on the computer and took a look. "The ultimate winner...PUnisher."
