Chereads / The Dauntless Son-in-Law Herculean Knight: Ethan Knight / Chapter 136 - I’ve Changed My Mind

Chapter 136 - I’ve Changed My Mind

Luisa knelt and begged for pardon, saying, "Ethan, I know my mistakes!" Please forgive me this time. I'll beg Mr. Carroll to tell me where Sophia is and bring her back right away!"

Ethan gazed at her from above indifferently. "It is too late." Dylan, have someone haul her away. From now on, I do not want to see this individual again."

"Yes, Ethan!" Dylan acknowledged and raced out of the room. Soon, two guys entered and, without saying anything, took Luisa away by her hair and arms. No one knows what they will do to Luisa.

Luisa was immediately terrified and soulless. She wept loudly and pleaded for forgiveness: "I-I realize my mistakes! Hey, Ethan! "Please spare me... I won't do it again. Please."

Her voice quickly vanished. All that remained were the stains from unclean water on the ground.

Charlotte, who observed the entire event, was terrified and refused to breathe. It was the first time she had seen Ethan's intimidating and stubborn side, which was so different from his typical manner.

Ethan just meant that he planned to kill Luisa...

This made Charlotte feel even more anxious, not because she sympathized with Luisa or thought Ethan had gone too far, but because she believed Luisa had brought it on herself. Instead, she was concerned that Ethan's activities could injure him...She is concerned that his actions might get him wrong with the authorities.

Ethan swung around to gaze at Charlotte, still enveloped in his jacket. The clothing she had been compelled to remove was filthy from the wine spilled all over the floor.

"Dylan, grab some clean clothes for Charlotte. Then ask Noah to send her back to the Reeds," Ethan instructed.

Dylan acknowledged and departed. The bar was quite spacious, and plenty of waiter and waitress uniforms were in the storeroom, so Charlotte had no trouble finding a clean and fitted pair of clothes.

Wrapping the jacket securely around herself, Charlotte asked worriedly, "What about you then, Ethan?"

Ethan looked at Alan, curled in the corner, and said softly, "Sophia is still gone, so I have to find her and return her home safely. You should get going and get home first, lest your family become concerned."

Charlotte pursed her lips slightly, knowing that even if she stayed here, she could not assist.

Furthermore, the humiliation she faced today left her heart in turmoil. She needed some time to be calm and get past the traumatic experience she had.

She obediently went to the restroom to change into new clothing before departing.

At this point, just Ethan, Dylan, and Alan remained in the room.

Ethan's followers had brought out all of the henchmen who had previously had their limbs shattered and dumped them into the hall downstairs.

Alan's face remained a touch pale.

Alan was sent on an emotional roller coaster after witnessing Ethan's scary power and cruelty in killing without hesitation. His feelings evolved from disgust to shock, then horror. He was not prepared himself for this day.

Now that Ethan was looking at him, Alan just gave up and went all out. Given the Carrolls' standing in Emerald Coast, he was confident that Ethan would never dare to treat him like he had treated Luisa, whom he had silently abandoned! This is the last trump card he can do now.

Alan felt emboldened and courageous as he remembered that he still had his family's support and control over Sophia's life. He stood up slowly, lay back on the couch, and crossed one leg over the other, peering at Ethan provocatively.

Ethan grimaced slightly. At this point, the burly soldier who had arrived earlier went in again and said in a deep voice, "Ethan, our men have looked throughout this bar, but we have not found your daughter. It appears they did not hide her here."

Ethan's frown became more profound.

If Sophia were not in this bar, finding her would be exponentially more difficult!

She may be at Alan's or other Carrolls' homes. She may even be at one of his shady friends' homes or any other strange location. The range would cover practically all of the Emerald Coast!

Trying to locate Sophia in such a significant region in such a short period was like finding a needle in a haystack! This would become a challenge to the team.

Even if Ethan gathered all his soldiers and activated his available workforce, it would be impossible to explore the Emerald Coast from top to bottom.

As a result, Alan remained the primary emphasis. He had to make him talk!

Alan deduced from Ethan's expression that he had discovered Sophia's absence from the bar. He could not help but smile triumphantly.

"If you are ready to tell me where Sophia is, I will not pursue the case. "What do you think?" Ethan held his temper and glanced at Alan.

"Hah!" Alan broke with mocking laughter. "Ethan Knight, do you consider me a child? You have so many people armed with firearms beneath you, and they've beaten up all of my subordinates. Do you think I'll believe you? If I tell you where your daughter is, you will probably not let me go!"

Ethan frowned. He had considered letting Alan go just now in return for Sophia's safety. Unfortunately, Alan frequently broke his promises, so he projected his flaws onto Ethan and concluded that Ethan was also attempting to fool him.

"So, what do you want before you are willing to let her go?" Ethan glared at Alan with daggers.

Luisa had taken Sophia away almost an hour ago. Ethan wasn't too concerned about Sophia's safety because she was still wearing the white moonstone bracelet he had given her.

The moonstone bracelet had mystical properties that protected Sophia from harm as long as she wore it.

However, she could be locked up somewhere. She was only six years old and would have been entirely embarrassed and terrified. The trauma she may be experiencing is palpable.

Ethan needed to bring Sophia back as quickly as possible!

"Haha, I didn't mean to kidnap that little bastard in the first place. That bitch Luisa Thorn brought her to me because she wanted you to fear so she could lure you in and smash your legs."

Alan took out a lighter and lighted a cigar before proceeding. "Luisa was also the one who came up with the idea of calling Charlotte Reed over and threatening her to go naked and sleep with me. Of course, I'm not attempting to place all of the blame on a lady, especially since she's already deceased. That would be too impolite. I want to clarify that I had no intention of doing anything to your daughter in the first place. That is the clarification I wanted to say to you anyway.

Ethan listened quietly to Alan's explanation, attempting to suppress his rapidly escalating rage.

"However, I've now changed my mind," Alan remarked slowly.

Ethan's pupils immediately contracted! This guy is asking for a death wish. But he could only withheld all his rage now.
