Ferry was excited. He hurriedly rushed out to take Luisa into his arms, no longer as disinterested and chilly as before. "I'll hold you to your word!" he said with a smile.
Ferry soon parked in front of the Grand8, a high-end club that Luisa had directed him to.
As soon as he walked in, he noticed a magnificent plaque with a golden border hanging in the center of the foyer, with the words 'Grand8 Is Eternal' on it. People were exiting the lobby, flushed with excitement and yelling nonstop. "Today, I must show off my skills and win big!" The clubhouse was remarkable.
Ferry was unfamiliar with this location because he did not dwell in the city. But Luisa knew her way around and quickly led him to a concealed elevator, where she hit the button for the fifth basement.
When the elevator door opened, a stunning gilded door welcomed him and two bellboys who opened it respectfully. This revealed a very spacious, packed, and raucous hall.
Only then did Ferry understand that he was in a busy underground gambling parlor.
This was a banned practice. However, this club was powerful enough to secretly set up such a big and mysterious hideout, making inquiries challenging.
Ferry looked immediately fascinated. But, of course, his main goal tonight was not to gamble but to pursue those two alluring beauties. He needs to follow the plan.
"Why have you brought me here? "Those two women don't seem like people who would appear in such a setting." Ferry gave Luisa a sour glance.
"Ferry, do not be impatient. Come with me first. Luisa took Ferry's hand and guided him to a card table in the corner.
Numerous players sat at the card table, and a crowd of other players surrounded them and watched the action.
"Hahahaha! Charles Reed, you are out of luck today. It's not even nighttime, and you've already lost all your money? Oh, come on!"
"Can you still go on?" If you don't have any more money, depart fast. Stop hogging the seat and wasting my time! I want to play a couple more games!" another irritated poker player exclaimed.
A middle-aged man sat opposite Ferry, his face pallid. He had lost all of his chips, and his face was livid.
The middle-aged man refused to give up despite the crowd's relentless encouragement to vacate the seat and the significant loss of his chips. So he clinched his teeth, removed a diamond bracelet from his pocket, and set it on the table. "This is a lovely bracelet that my wife spent over $100,000 on. Now... I'm going to sell it for $60,000. "Anyone who wants it can have it!"
"Charles Reed, you must have taken this bracelet from your wife. "You're going to be in trouble when you get home!" someone mocked.
"Cut the crap. Does anyone want $60,000?" Charles ignored these words and stared at the people around him with fiery eyes.
The diamond bracelet was stunning and clearly of high quality.
However, this was a gambling den, not a jewelry store or auction. The bracelet would not command a premium price.
"This bracelet seems mediocre, and you took it at the last minute. Who knows whether it's real or not? "I'll give you $4000 if you sell it," one of the players replied with disgust after looking at the bracelet.
"That... is too little. I bought it for about $80,000! Forget it. I'll sell it to you for 40 grand!" Charles replied, gritting his teeth.
"Twenty grand at most. Take or leave it. If you don't want to sell, get lost with your bracelet, we don't need you here and we want more players to come. I want to play more." the other individual remarked impatiently.
Someone on the side piped in, "It's simply a lousy bracelet. You'll lose a lot of money if you pay $20,000. You can buy a more high-quality bracelet for twenty grand, you know."
"Exactly. This gadget should bring less than $5,000."
"Okay! "You can have it." Charles made up his decision and shoved the bracelet towards him.
After taking the bracelet, the other individual quickly tossed him $20,000 in chips.
Luisa stood to the side, marveling at the lovely jewelry. She moaned unhappily as the individual stowed the jewelry in his pocket.
"Did you bring me here to look at other people's belongings?" We aren't here because you want me to purchase you the bracelet, correct? Ferry questioned with hostility.
Luisa jerked back to reality and shook her head quickly. She muttered to Ferry, "No, how is that even possible? Ferry observes the middle-aged man who sold the bracelet. "Charles Reed is the father of Anastasia and Charlotte Reed. He has just lost a significant amount of money through gambling, according to reports. And, Ferry, did you see that everyone at this table is clearly in collusion? Only that fool Charles Reed is still unaware. He will continue to lose at this pace until he has nothing left."
Ferry nodded. Outsiders have a better understanding of the situation. He hadn't been standing here long before he realized something was off. However, Charles Reed, who was involved in the incident, was oblivious and determined to regain his losses. That's how gambling works.
However, how is that possible?
Ferry had an idea and instantly grasped Luisa's statements. "Are you... planning to have me help him after he loses?"
"Yes! After he loses everything, lend him some money. He will undoubtedly continue to lose money and will eventually be unable to repay you. At that point, he'll have to ask his daughters for money. But, as far as I know, Anastasia does not have much money; therefore, she cannot afford to pay him. Because she cannot afford it, you can accept his daughter as compensation! By then, you'll be free to sleep with her as frequently as you want," Luisa remarked maliciously. Her plan is enticing. She made a good plan out of this situation.
Ferry got excited just thinking about that scene. He remained rational and questioned, "What if she doesn't agree?"
"If she does not accept, she must return the money to you immediately. But can she afford it? She will have no choice but to agree! Besides, she isn't a good person. Who knows how many men she has slept with? What is the difference between sleeping with you, then? Otherwise, how could she have become the general manager of Spark Enterprises? Do not worry. She'll agree!" Luisa gave a firm guarantee. She is perfectly sure her plan will work.
Hearing this, Ferry stopped worrying and narrowed his eyes to stare at Charles, who had bloodshot eyes. He seemed to anticipate Anastasia's hesitant submission to him. The corners of his mouth curved into a menacing grin. He was determined to get what he wanted. This time Charles Reed cannot escape.
