Chapter 20 - Not Even Worthy

Charlotte shook her head, her emotions in turmoil. "We're alright. Good to see you here." She turned to Ethan. "Look, they're both bullying me!" The stout woman, who had been prevented from striking them, hesitated to provoke Ethan due to his imposing height. She had no choice but to seek help from her husband.

However, she turned around and saw her husband gawking at the youthful and beautiful Charlotte, not blinking. Her husband's attitude only made her furious. "You harlot! Stop seducing men!" she screamed, twisting her husband's shoulder painfully. You're still gawking at her, are you? Your wife is being bullied! How come your eyes are busy with other matters? Are you even a man?"

The bespectacled man finally snapped out of his trance. He had a habit of being polite to women but was highly hostile towards men. "Do you know who I am, lad?" he taunted.

Ethan remained calm. "Who you are has nothing to do with me," he replied, taking Charlotte and Sophia along, ready to leave. But the bespectacled man blocked their way. "You think you can leave after hitting my wife and child? It's not that easy!"

"Daddy, we didn't hit that boy. He tried to hit me but ran away when Auntie came. Then he tripped and fell," Sophia quickly explained to her father. "That woman blamed Auntie as soon as she arrived, and now this man is accusing us of hitting his son. We didn't do it!"

"Quiet, you! You're still young but surely know how to talk nonsense!" the bespectacled man snarled menacingly at Sophia.

Ethan's gaze turned icy. How dare he intimidate my precious daughter in front of me? He must be out of his mind. The bespectacled man, unnerved by Ethan's terrifying glare but unwilling to show weakness, reached out to shove Ethan. "What are you looking at? I'm not easily intimidated by some lousy man. Do you dare to hit me...?"

Before he could finish, Ethan kicked him!

"Ah!" the bespectacled man shrieked, flying six meters before crashing into a toy house, which collapsed under him. He almost passed out from the shock and impact.

Everyone was stunned into silence! Nobody wanted to move an inch.

Recovering from the shock, the stout woman screamed and rushed to her husband's side in high heels. "Hubby, hubby, are you alright?"

The bespectacled man struggled to his feet, his chest aching but realizing he was otherwise unharmed. He had feared for his life. Ethan had shown mercy; otherwise, the man's ribs and organs would have been shattered. Ethan just wanted to teach him a lesson for insulting his daughter, not to kill him.

Clueless about Ethan's restraint, the bespectacled man glared at him, seething. "Damn it! You wait, kid! We are just starting! I, Nero Wilcon, had never experienced and will never experience defeat. Better be prepared to be killed! " He shouted, pulling out his mobile phone.

Sensing the situation escalating, the kindergarten principal hurried over to mediate. "This is just a misunderstanding. If things escalate, it won't benefit anyone. Please, let's talk it over inside the office. Our kids are watching us, adults."

After shouting into his phone, the bespectacled man spat arrogantly, disregarding the kindergarten principal word of advice. "If you dare to hit me, you'll pay the price. Do you think we're pushovers?" pointing to Ethan.

Seeing no peaceful resolution, Ethan told Charlotte, "Take Sophia and go."

"Daddy!" Sophia clung to Ethan's sleeve, looking uneasy.

Ethan smiled gently at his daughter, stroking her pigtails. "It'll be alright. Go home with your Aunt. I'll be right back. We will play when I get home, okay?"

Although reluctant, Sophia nodded obediently, comforted by Ethan's reassuring gaze. He has immense trust in her daddy. She knows she needs to follow what Daddy says. She is a sensible kid, after all.

Hesitating, Charlotte said something she had never said before. "Be careful."

The stout woman blocked her as she took a few steps away with Sophia in her arms. "Hah, don't think you can leave. None of you are going anywhere!"

Ethan's expression darkened.

He had no intention of hitting a woman, but if she harmed Sophia while stopping them, he wouldn't hold back.

At that moment, several Magnus cars sped by, nearly hitting the crowd of parents picking up their children. Amidst the commotion, over ten tattooed men emerged from the vehicles and charged toward the kindergarten menacingly.

"Boss, we're here! Where's the fool?" one of them shouted.

Seeing his reinforcements, the bespectacled man pointed at Ethan and roared, "It's him! How dare he touch me? Go and get him!"

The bald leader sized up Ethan, laughing scornfully. "This bloke? I could take on ten of him! How dare you hit the boss! Are you even tired of living?!"

With menacing expressions, the group surrounded Ethan.

"Daddy... Daddy! Ah!" Sophia cried out in fear as she saw the terrifying men encircling Ethan. Charlotte hugged Sophia tightly, her face pale with fear. She did not know what to do but watched fearfully.

Ethan's cold, hostile gaze made the men halt, suddenly feeling an overwhelming sense of danger.

Just as Ethan was about to lose his temper, Dylan appeared, blocking his way. "Ethan, take the child away. Leave this to me."

Seeing that Ethan had backup, the bespectacled man laughed. "What can one bloke do? We are not done yet here. None of you are leaving!"

Dylan spat out his chewing gum. "You all aren't even worthy of getting hit by Ethan or even being stared at by him."
