Finally, after a sleepless night spent agonizing over his decision, Anthony made up his mind. He would call Nathan and agree to meet with him. He didn't know what Nathan had planned, but he had to find out. If there was any chance of salvaging his business, he had to take it.
The next morning, Anthony called Nathan. The phone rang only once before Nathan answered.
"Anthony," Nathan said, his voice smooth as ever. "I was wondering when you'd call."
"We need to meet," Anthony said, his voice tense. "I want to talk about the deal."
Nathan sounded pleased. "Of course. I'm glad you've decided to be reasonable. Let's meet tonight, at eight o'clock. I'll send you the address."
"Alright," Anthony replied, his stomach twisting with anxiety. "I'll be there."
After ending the call, Anthony felt restless. He didn't know what to expect from this meeting, but he had no other choice. He had to see it through.
