Inside the apartment, Jake was waiting for them, pacing nervously by the window. When they entered, he looked up, relief flashing across his face. "You made it. I heard the explosion. The whole city's talking about it."
"Clarke's operation at the docks is gone," Mitchell confirmed, dropping his bag on the floor. "But it's just the beginning."
Claire collapsed into a chair, running a hand through her tangled hair. "He's not going to stop. We've shaken him, but he'll regroup. We need to be ready for whatever he throws at us."
Jake crossed his arms, his brow furrowed. "You're right, but we've got a problem. I've been keeping an eye on things, and Clarke's been making moves all over the city. The docks were just one piece of the puzzle. His network is deeper than we thought."
Mitchell's jaw clenched. "What do you mean?"
