Chapter 2 - What about a Dungeon!!

Opening the door, I see no one confused. I look around and see not a single person.

"Excuse me, but I am not that tall." I looked down and saw a small being wearing a hoop and a satchel on his side. "But hello, you have subscribed to Peddlers Premium, and here is your card," they said, pulling out a black metallic card. "Along with the card, anytime you travel, show this badge, and you will be let in from the dragons to the east to the elves to the south," they said as their paw went back into his satchel. I am very confused by all of this, but hey, free stuff.

"Now you have your monthly surprise box," he said as he pulled out a golden box as big as him and slammed it down, looking tired of pulling it out.

He opened it, and I could see three objects that looked like a sword with inscriptions, a black cloak, and a bag of something.

"You may take everything in this box, but since I am here, would you like to buy anything?" he asked as he reached back into his bag.

"No, I have no money, sorry," I said, bowing a bit, embarrassed.

"I totally understand Premium is not cheap, especially the long one. Many of you must have been saving for years to buy it, but I am Koru, a cat clan survivor, and I joined the Peddlers Organization, a secret one, so for you to have found out about us and the cost of the lifelong premium was a shock when we got to the news yesterday, and again, thank you for shopping with us. I will personally work with you until now and the end of your life," Koru said, and he also bowed to me.

"Hmmm~ Thank you and yes, my name is Simon Sanchez Since I will be seeing for a while, you can call me Sim for short Koru," I said, grasping my surprise box, and man, is it heavy! I put it inside, looking back, and I see Koru throw something on the floor as a magical circle appears as he waves goodbye and disappears.

Man, that just made me want to learn magic so much. Imagine if I could fly around, firing fireballs or healing lost limbs. I should get to it I then walked back to my living room, going into a meditation pose as I breathed in and once more from my nose when I was full. Slowly release the air in a short burst from my mouth. I could see small, bright lights around me. I slowly and barely moved them closer to me.

Five days have passed and I have yet to gain my core but I am working on it slowly but surely. But I suddenly got a note from Jared this morning.

[ Hello Simon,

I bring good news I have unlocked the door in your basement for your own personal use; it is a dungeon Your own personal dungeon is welcome, and I have also given you more books about magic and some sword techniques for you to learn and be safe. I do not want to see you anytime soon.

[Yours truly, Jared]

Picking up the techniques, I also went outside and grabbed the sword from the shed. I first needed to practice moving with the sword, as the books said, as it was enchanted to only show me how to use the sword once I made the sword part of my daily exercises and did swing for a month or so. I did check out the dungeon, and it looks like any MMORPG has cobblestone walls and torchlights in some of the hallways—yes, many—and goblins. I got spooky because they fell from the ceiling, so I ran back, and they started to ignore me once I got through the door or when I got to far away.

Its been like three months, and I have gone strong Should I choose not to claim that my body is feeble, I might assert that I am on par with some body builders and swordsmen. Well, I am pretty good with the sword but all I have been fighting are goblins Yes, I went back in once I was confident in my ability to fight. It is like a maze down there I have gotten lost so many times it is not funny There were three types of goblins I ran into: Knight goblins that have swords and other close-range weapons; Marksmen goblins with bows and/or crossbows; last but not least, Mage goblins that shoot fireballs; and or spikes that come out of the ground, stabbing my feet. Those were the most annoying ones.

Another day of learning swordsmanship and meditation but I also got many thing from the peddler. I have a few romance books, which I read when I am done with my other book, I only read for research. I swear, with some rune books with many times of runes pretty cool, I could use them when I unlock my magic. An armor set that is pretty badass, like those Ego weapons in anime or manhwas, I used to wear it in the form of a necklace, just a chain one, but when my armor came out, it was black and silver in color, lean and not bulky, like a knight armor without the plume on the top of his head, which I liked a lot. but I wish it did not have a cape; it does not speak to me like an ego weapon. I just think of it as something I want it to de-transform into, but the armor is always the same.

It has some type of magnet on the sole of the palm of the gauntlets, which gives it better grip. I do not need to leave the visor because it's not even there, which is so cool I love this armor and it's really strong. Tanking fireballs and earth spikes with ease, and that sword I got last time is cool; it needs mana to use to its fullest potential, which I do not have right now, As the peddler said last time he came, I feel like I could leave my home and explore since I am so strong. I one shot the goblins, and I just got lost in the maze dungeon, as I called it.

*Bang Bang*

Confused I stood up from my leather chair and walked outside, as something was banging against the dome. looking out side, I see a~
