Shing!
The mysterious youth took a step back, his head tilted and his chin raised. A few inches in front of him was the edge of a two metre long blade. It glimmered eerily in the darkened atmosphere.
He's fast!! Way faster than before!
Zandov thought as his heart pulsed madly within his chest. He was filled with fear, shock and a hint of excitement at the prospect of Percy's strength.
Percy's purple eyes narrowed, a hint of surprise flashing in within them. He had covered a distance of almost five metres in a second, his movements were faster than your regular human and his swordsmanship was fluid. He had expected his sword to cleanly pierce the mysterious youths head but he had surprisingly dodged it.
It didn't even touch his hat…
The mysterious youth moved, his hand which held the briefcase rose and slammed towards Percy's face. Percy pulled back his blade, placing it diagonally before his face to block the attack.
Bang!
Percy staggered backwards from the force behind the attack.
Heavy.. he clicked his tongue inwardly, bending his knees to pierce once more but when he did, his sword blade met nothing but air.
The mysterious youth had sidestepped cleanly, crouched low and whipped his leg horizontally, aiming for Percy's already bent knee.
Percy reacted immediately, he positioned his blade vertically before following forward. He stood up and immediately stuck, swinging his blade in an horizontal sweep.
The mysterious youth bent backwards, his left hand on his hat and his right hand holding the briefcase. He has a light smile on his face.
Percy's eyes became bloodshot as he saw the smile, his expression turned into one of Fury. He immediately pulled back his sword and swung down vertically, hoping to split the mysterious youth into two.
Thang!!
A loud sound reverberated through the place as Percy's sword got stuck in the floor. The mysterious youth smirked, without giving Percy any breathing space, he swung his briefcase.
Bang!!
Percy's head jerked back as blood spurted from his nose. Before he could let go of his sword, another hit landed to his stomach and one more to his temple. His eyes rolled back, his knees buckled and he felt to the floor unconscious.
Everyone stared at the mysterious youth with gaping jaws and wide eyes. The mysterious youth walked to another person that laid on the floor unconscious and used their cloth to wipe off the mixture of saliva and blood on his briefcase.
"I can't believe it, he actually managed to beat Percy.." Marceline stared at the unconscious Percy and the mysterious youth in shock. When the lady beside her who was always absentminded was gazing at the scene with a grave expression.
"Yvonne, what do we do? Should we surrender? That way we don't have to fight."
"Some things cannot be avoided. But don't worry, he isn't looking to fight us. And even if he is, he can't take on both of us."
I knew he was skilled judging from how he could take out all of our entourage while being attacked by Percy, but this… this is surprising. Yvonne, the brown haired lady, narrowed her eyes.
"I thought Percy is supposed to be undefeatable by anyone in our age group once he unsheathes his sword." Marceline adjusted her hat uncomfortably, she took her eyes off the unconscious Percy but soon, she was staring at him once more.
"He is. Unfortunately, the environment wasn't suitable for him. His sword is too long to use in a confined area."
"I can't believe it… he was defeated, just like that?" Zandov muttered absentmindedly. He looked towards Lassen who now had a strange lady standing beside him but the latter was still focused on something else.
Zandov looked towards the direction of Lassen's eyes to find two ladies standing at the damaged doorway to the first cabin.
Redhead, blue eyes and a gentle disposition. She must be from the Laforde family. The lady beside her looks cold. I don't know her family, but she must be pretty talented to casually chat with a member of the Laforde family. She must be the one that gave Lassen his scar.
The mysterious youth stood up from his crouching position and looked around. His gaze locked unto Yvonne and Marceline and the latter flinched. The mysterious youth bowed a bit before turning around and walking towards the third cargo.
The youths parted as he approached, they seemed to have forgotten that they had been enemies just a few moments earlier as they squeezed towards the corners of the cargo with fear in their eyes.
The moment they saw the long sword, they knew immediately that the purple eyed Percy must be a member of the famous Warburn family; a household known for their fearsome swordsmanship.
It is rumoured in the various cities that their pet dogs were mutant beasts and their guards were at least inspector level policemen. That was equivalent to a captain of the kingdom's military. And that even the weakest talent in the Warburn family was more qualified than a guard.
One could only wonder how talented their offsprings were. And yet, here was one of them, on the floor in a matter of seconds. Only a fool would mistake it as a weakness of the Warburn youth.
The mysterious youth took a few steps forward before he paused. He chuckled as he spoke,
"Wow, it seems like I truly underestimated you. You are strong."
The eyes of all the youths immediately locked onto a figure behind the mysterious youth. It was the supposedly unconscious Percy. He stood up, shook his head and blew the blood out of his nose.
He loosened his hair and walked to his sword which was still piercing the floor of the battered locomotive. Everyone expected him to pull out the sword but to their surprise, he bent it instead.
Crank! Snap!!
A few of the youths flinched at the loud sound. Percy pulled out the sword, it was now broken. The once two meters long sword had been shortened to a bit above one meter.
Percy casually flipped it between both hands before finally settling on his left. The moment he did so, the air seemed to become colder. Only then did the youths on the train realise that the distance between the mysterious youth and Percy was about five meters.
It was like they were back to when Percy must unsheathed his sword.
"You've become awfully qu—"
Shing!! Slash!!
This time, even Yvonne and Marceline looked shocked at the speed of Percy's movements. But even more shocking was the mysterious youth whose head was tilted once more but this time, his hat was skewered by Percy's sword.
The youth retreated, all eyes locked on him. His hair which had previously been covered by the hat was curly and messy, covering his face. His jaw was sharp and his skin was like alabaster.
His eyes though, were amber. And at that moment, they radiate like two golden torches.
