Chapter 10 - Chapter Ten: A New Challenge

Soo-ah stood in the grand ballroom of The Royal Haven, surveying the space where the hotel's biggest event of the year was about to take place. The room was a flurry of activity, with staff members rushing to and fro, setting up tables, arranging decorations, and ensuring everything was in place for the gala. This was the first major event she was handling on her own since taking on her new responsibilities in the event planning department, and she felt a mix of excitement and nerves.

She glanced at her checklist, ticking off items one by one. The floral arrangements had arrived and were being meticulously placed by the florists. The catering team was in the kitchen, preparing an exquisite menu that had been carefully curated for the evening. The AV team was setting up the sound and lighting equipment, ensuring everything was perfect for the night's performances.

Just as she was about to check on the guest list, Ji-hoon approached her, looking sharp in his suit. "How's everything going?" he asked, a supportive smile on his face.

"So far, so good," Soo-ah replied, her confidence growing. "Just a few more things to double-check, and we should be all set."

"Great. If you need any help, I'm here," Ji-hoon said, giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder before heading off to oversee another part of the preparations.

As the evening drew closer, guests began to arrive, dressed in their finest attire. Soo-ah greeted them at the entrance, her heart racing with pride and anxiety. She saw familiar faces, regular guests of The Royal Haven, and some new ones, all eager to enjoy the night's festivities.

Everything was running smoothly until she received a call from one of the kitchen staff. There was an issue with the dessert—they had run out of one of the key ingredients. Soo-ah's mind raced as she tried to think of a solution. She quickly called Lee Min-joon, who had connections with local suppliers.

"Min-joon, I need a huge favor," she said, explaining the situation.

"I'm on it," he replied without hesitation. "I'll see what I can do and get back to you."

While waiting for Min-joon's call, Soo-ah directed the staff to start serving the main course, hoping to buy some time. She moved through the room, ensuring that the guests were enjoying themselves and that no one noticed the hiccup behind the scenes.

After what felt like an eternity, her phone rang. "I've got the ingredients," Min-joon said. "I'm on my way."

Relief washed over Soo-ah. She thanked him profusely and informed the kitchen staff. Within minutes, Min-joon arrived, and the dessert crisis was averted. The evening continued without a hitch, and the guests were none the wiser.

As the gala drew to a close, Soo-ah took a moment to step outside and breathe in the cool night air. She reflected on the day's challenges and triumphs, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. She knew that this was just the beginning of her journey in event planning, and she was ready for whatever came next.

Ji-hoon and Min-joon joined her outside, both wearing proud smiles. "You did an amazing job, Soo-ah," Ji-hoon said, raising an imaginary glass in a toast.

"Couldn't have done it without you two," she replied, grateful for their support.

"Here's to many more successful events," Min-joon added, his eyes twinkling with anticipation.

Soo-ah smiled, feeling more confident than ever. "Yes, to many more."
