Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: A Mysterious Guest

The Royal Haven was buzzing with the preparations for the upcoming charity gala. Soo-ah had been working tirelessly, coordinating with vendors, finalizing the guest list, and ensuring every detail was perfect. It was her first major event since taking on new responsibilities, and she was determined to make it flawless.

As she walked through the grand ballroom, checking on the decorations, a hotel staff member approached her. "Miss Soo-ah, there's a guest asking for you at the reception. He says it's urgent."

Soo-ah's heart skipped a beat. Urgent matters at a hotel like The Royal Haven were rarely good news. She hurried to the reception, her mind racing with possibilities. As she rounded the corner, she saw a tall, distinguished man in a sharp suit standing by the desk. His presence commanded attention, and there was something familiar about him.

"Good afternoon, I'm Soo-ah. How can I help you?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

The man turned to her, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Miss Soo-ah, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Daniel Kim. I believe we have some mutual acquaintances."

Soo-ah's eyes widened. Daniel Kim was a well-known businessman, famous for his philanthropic efforts and connections in high society. She had heard of him but never expected to meet him in person, let alone have him seek her out.

"Mr. Kim, of course. How can I assist you today?" she replied, maintaining her professionalism despite her curiosity.

"I'm here for the charity gala, but I also have a personal matter to discuss with you," Daniel said, his tone turning serious. "It's about Lee Min-joon and Ji-hoon."

Soo-ah felt a chill run down her spine at the mention of their names. "What about them?" she asked cautiously.

"I have information that might affect them, and you. It's best we discuss this in private," he suggested, glancing around the busy lobby.

Soo-ah nodded, leading him to a quiet meeting room. As they sat down, Daniel leaned forward, his expression grave. "There's more to the gala than meets the eye. Certain individuals are using it as a cover for something else. Min-joon and Ji-hoon are in danger, and I believe you can help prevent it."

Soo-ah's mind raced. What could possibly be happening that involved her friends and this prestigious event? "Tell me everything," she urged, her resolve strengthening. She had to protect her friends and ensure the gala's success, no matter the cost.
