Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven: New Beginnings at The Royal Haven

The Royal Haven Hotel was bustling with activity as the staff prepared for a grand gala that would be held in a few days. The hotel, with its opulent architecture and lush gardens, had always been the go-to place for high-profile events. Soo-ah, now in her new role in the event planning department, felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. She had been working tirelessly, ensuring every detail was perfect.

Soo-ah stood in the grand ballroom, her eyes scanning the room. The chandeliers glittered like stars, and the tables were adorned with exquisite floral arrangements. She had coordinated with florists, caterers, and decorators, ensuring that everything met the high standards of The Royal Haven.

"How's everything coming along?" a familiar voice asked.

Soo-ah turned to see Lee Min-joon, one of the hotel's most experienced event planners. He had been her mentor since she joined the department. His presence was reassuring, and she appreciated his guidance.

"Almost done," Soo-ah replied with a smile. "Just a few final touches left."

Min-joon nodded approvingly. "You've done an excellent job, Soo-ah. I have no doubt this event will be a success."

As they walked through the ballroom, discussing last-minute details, Soo-ah couldn't help but think of Ji-hoon. He had been supportive of her career move, even though it meant they had less time together. She missed their late-night talks and quiet moments, but she knew this opportunity was important for her growth.

Later that evening, Soo-ah took a moment to step outside and breathe in the cool night air. The garden was illuminated with fairy lights, creating a magical ambiance. She found a quiet bench and sat down, allowing herself a rare moment of reflection.

Her phone buzzed, and she saw a message from Ji-hoon: "Thinking of you. Good luck with the gala. Can't wait to hear all about it."

Soo-ah smiled and replied, "Thank you. Miss you. Let's celebrate after."

Just as she put her phone away, she heard footsteps approaching. Min-joon joined her, holding two cups of coffee. "Thought you might need this," he said, handing her a cup.

"Thanks," Soo-ah said, taking a sip. "I didn't realize how much I needed a break."

Min-joon sat down beside her. "You're doing great, Soo-ah. It's important to take moments like these to recharge."

They sat in comfortable silence, the gentle hum of the hotel's activity in the background. Soo-ah felt a sense of peace, knowing she was on the right path. The journey was just beginning, and with the support of her colleagues and loved ones, she was ready to take on whatever challenges came her way.
