Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

The Royal Haven buzzed with the usual mid-morning activity as Soo-ah walked through the lobby, clipboard in hand. She took in the scene with a keen eye, noting every detail. Her job as an assistant event coordinator demanded perfection, and she prided herself on meeting that standard.

Today, she had a meeting with the head event coordinator, Ji-hoon Park, to discuss upcoming events and any adjustments needed for ongoing projects. As she approached Ji-hoon's office, she couldn't shake the feeling that something significant was about to happen.

"Soo-ah, come in," Ji-hoon called as she knocked on the door.

"Good morning, Mr. Park," she greeted him, stepping inside and closing the door behind her.

"Good morning. Please, have a seat," Ji-hoon said, gesturing to the chair in front of his desk. "We have a lot to go over today."

They reviewed the agenda for the week, discussing the details of several high-profile events, from corporate gatherings to lavish weddings. Soo-ah took diligent notes, ensuring she captured every instruction and suggestion.

As they wrapped up the meeting, Ji-hoon leaned back in his chair, studying her. "Soo-ah, you've been doing excellent work. Your attention to detail and dedication haven't gone unnoticed."

"Thank you, Mr. Park," Soo-ah replied, a hint of pride in her voice.

"I want to talk to you about something important," Ji-hoon continued. "The hotel is bringing in a new overseer. His name is Lee Min-joon, and he's known for turning around some of the top hotels in the country. His leadership style is very hands-on, and he'll likely want to get to know all the key staff members personally."

Soo-ah felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. "What does that mean for us?"

"It means we'll need to be at the top of our game," Ji-hoon said. "Mr. Lee has high standards, and he's not afraid to make changes if he thinks it will benefit the hotel. But it also means there could be opportunities for those who stand out."

Soo-ah nodded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "I'll do my best, Mr. Park."

"I know you will," Ji-hoon said with a reassuring smile. "Now, let's make sure everything is perfect for his arrival."

The rest of the day flew by in a blur of activity. Soo-ah threw herself into her work, checking and double-checking every detail. By the time her shift ended, she was exhausted but satisfied with the progress she'd made.

As she left the hotel, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of anticipation for the days ahead. The arrival of Lee Min-joon promised to shake things up, and Soo-ah was determined to seize any opportunity that came her way. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was ready for the challenge.

Walking home, she replayed Ji-hoon's words in her mind. Change was coming, and with it, the chance to prove herself in ways she hadn't imagined. Soo-ah knew one thing for sure: she wouldn't let this opportunity pass her by.
