Magus Tista after hearing what was whispered to her mage beside her looked at the children before her and counted them by herself and they where actually 26. Her brows scrunched up in a frown as she thought about this,
'How can there be 26 the murial said 25, how can this be, I guess we just have been lucky? One more hero or companion can't hurt'
She then smiled to the bewildered children in front of her then suddenly a hand was raised up
"Before asking any questions I believe I should first explain both our situation and yours" tista said
•few minutes later
"So let me get this straight" a cold and lightly shaken voice said
"Your world have been plague with what you people call the veil which randomly happens, and this happens while you are at war with your opposing race which u call the fiends, and your soldiers or what u call divers found a murial to summon 5 heros and their companions, and these heros are supposed to bring ur race victory and conquer the feind" said Sophia the class rep
"If you summarize it that way yes" replied sister tista with the smile that never once left her face
"YOU THINK WE'LL BUY THIS CRAP??, WHATEVER PRANK YOURE UPTO IM NOT GOING TO BE A PART OF IT SO BETTER STOP THIS!!!" Shouted Dave, on of Elijah's friends.
Dave was a very huge kid for his age, he was 6'6 at 16 with a bald head and a temper to match, making him the mages standing behind magus tista think of an angry bear from his reaction.
"This is not a prank, I know you all are in denial of your current situation right now but this is reality dear heroes" tista replied calmly
"Can I ask a question?" A boy with blonde hair and brown eyes asked with his hands up
"Yes you can"
"You meantioned 5 heroes and 20 companions are supposed to the summoned and that totals 25"
"Hmmhmmm" replied tista with her characteristic smile
"But we're currently 26 how do you explain that?" Said Owen the blonde boy
Owen was one of the porpular and well behaved , with an above average look, good grade. He wasn't really scared anymore because this was just like a scenario from one of those fantasy novels he had read as a kid.
"Oh, for that I can't really explain, my guess is when the spell took hold you guys were already 25 till someone mistakenly joined"
Some students turned to look at Gary, a few remembered him going to the nurses office after the little scuffle with Elijah during the lunch period in class.
"Haa, an unfortunate one till the end huh" said Elijah mockingly
Gary tried not to meet anyones gaze, tista looking at Gary felt he looked a little bit pathetic, among others he was the only one with a bruised up face and dirty uniform, but she didn't point that out.
"For now we would like to know those among you who have been deemed as the heroes and those who have been deemed as companions, as you all will be in a group of five, a hero and four companion as a standard battle team, we'll let the extra lead a team of veteran worrior who I promise won't bring you down"
"And how do we check that?" Asked Sophia
"Easy, follow me" said tista turning around and walking out towards the huge door behind her
Looking around everyone seemed nervous and scared to move, and then Elijah moved first followed by his lackeys, and then even followed with slow and unsteady steps.
Arriving at a place that looks like a temple of old, magus tista was standing before an orb as big as a football placed of table that looked like it was made of gold
"All you have to do is make a cut on ur palm and touch this orb with it while saying the word 'status', you'll be granted a status showing your ability,streangths, and most importantly your position" tista said with a smile
"Mind you being a hero isn't permanent, you can be removed from your status as hero's anytime, if you are deemed unworthy commit deeds unbecoming of a hero you'll be stripped of you title of hero and the powers that come along with it, and one of your companions can rise up to take the title, so be careful"
"What crap a you spouting now??" Said Dave one of Elijah's lackey
"This is no crap dear heros, this is to protect us luminaries that is all"
"Seems fair enough" said Sophia with a nod.
"Now which of you will like to go first" said tista with a smile
