"What the hell are you talking about?!" Sola yelled at his bearded assailant. He recognised him from the contestants displayed on the screen. Beside his picture, the name 'Adira' had been written.
"Don't try and play dumb with me!" Adira grinned. "Or do. It doesn't matter to me as long as I beat you and the other clowns you came here with!"
The contestants who were watching the fight now had their attention drawn towards Sola and Adira. Even the young boy set aside his console and was on his feet as though he was ready to jump in.
"Stay back Daniel!" Adira yelled at the boy. "This one's mine!"
"That's not fair!" The boy cried. "I was waiting for the tournament to fight so you should too!"
"Like hell, I will! I won't get to fight this guy until the semi-finals and I sure as hell won't be waiting for 3 days to get to do so!"
Adira charged at Sola and threw a right hook at his head. The grey-haired man ducked under his fist and smacked his chin with the back of his head. The bearded man winced in pain causing him to take a step back. Sola took that moment to pull his yari off his back and spin it rapidly. Before he could grasp what was happening, Adira felt a blunt metal end smack into his temple. His vision went black for a few seconds making him unaware of the counterweight coming straight for his forehead.
Before the end of the spear could reach Adira, Daniel kicked the polearm out of the man's hands. Sola was only able to catch a glimpse of the boy's yellow beastlike eyes before a massive force came colliding into his stomach. He wretched in pain as he was sent flying back only able to gain enough composure to evade the boy's next attack. Sola's veins bulged as his blood flow doubled in rate. With his newfound strength, Sola sent Daniel flying with a devastating blow.
The black-haired boy was sent crashing into a wall, leaving a large indent where he landed. He groaned loudly as he pulled himself out of the wall. Much to his surprise, Daniel walked away from the attack with little to no harm. The only damage that had been done was to his now ripped clothes. Even in his weakened state, Sola found this alarming. He was not allowed to deliberate over it as Adira came in with a punch to his back.
A strange buzz was sent all over his body as soon as Adira's fist came into contact with him. He turned around to face the man who had a sly look on his face. The look faded away to one of confusion like he was expecting the attack to do something more. Sola pulled back his fist to land a blow on Adira but his wrist was caught mid-swing by someone.
"No fighting before your matches," the individual said. Sola recognised the short-haired man in front of him. He was one of the Walkers he had seen alongside Edgar the other day.
"What do you think you're doing, Nero?!" Adira yelled. "Get out of my way!"
Nero Walker's piercing green eyes shot to glare at the bearded man. Without any prompt, Daniel, Adira and Sola came underneath an intense weight. Adira was laid completely flat on the ground due to the pressure while Daniel was able to stand hunched back. Even Sola was forced to go down on one knee due to the force that was being applied to his body. Nero raised an eyebrow at Sola's impressive strength. He stretched out a hand to put more force on his body. However, he was stopped when someone arrived in the waiting room. This someone was none other than Eron Walker. The white-haired man waved his hand and the pressure was immediately removed from the three.
"Thank you for stopping the fight, brother," Eron said. "I will take over the situation from here,"
Nero glared furiously at the other Walker for a few moments. Deciding it was not worth the effort, he stormed out of the waiting room.
"Daniel. Adira," Eron looked at the two. "Would you please come with me?"
As the three of them left, the last contestant approached the waiting room. He was surprised at the sight of two of Walkers leaving the room, and even more so by the damage that had been done to it.
"Is there something I missed?" He asked.
The other contestants ignored him and turned their attention back to the screen. The first fight was already over. The next two contestants made their way to the arena while Sola picked his yari off the ground. Due to this scabble with Adira and Daniel, he just lost the element of surprise when it came to his adrenaline state. He strapped the spear to his back and walked over to the screen. It just meant he was going to have to fight harder.
"What were the two of you thinking?!" Eron exclaimed.
"It's Adira's fault!" Daniel whined.
"Shut the fuck up, brat! I didn't ask you to butt in!" Adira yelled.
"Says the guy who was about to get his clock cleaned!"
"Why were you even fighting him in the first place?!" The Walker asked.
"He was one of those guys you asked us to deal with," The bearded man explained. "So I decided to take him out of the equation,"
Eron raised an eyebrow.
"No, he is not,"
"Yes, he is!" Adira furrowed his eyebrows. "His file was one of the ones you gave me!"
"Did you even read the documents?! He did not even have any connections to them listed!"
"Oh," The bearded man said. The white-haired man sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Just... just try not to get into any more trouble and make sure to watch the people you're supposed to and do not engage them outside the tournament,"
Eron walked off leaving the two to themselves. Daniel shrugged and made his way back to the waiting room. He turned back to see Adira still standing there. He was staring contemplatively at his fist.
"Are you coming?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah..." He shook his head and put his hands into his pockets. "I'm coming,"
