From her blood-red hair and pale blue eyes, Folorunsho could tell that she was an Immortalis. Her skin was almost paper white and her face held no emotion. She glided down in her onyx dress that hugged her figure, revealing the contours of her waist and chest. The woman had an ethereal feel about her that Folorunsho would have never expected from someone of this family.
"Dear Folorunsho, I'm glad you could look past our differences and make it here," Kenan smiled.
"What can I say, Diane can be quite persuasive," Folorunsho replied, his eyes still on the woman.
"Ah, I do not think you two have been formally introduced. Folorunsho, this is my daughter, Ingrid Immortalis. Ingrid, this is Folorunsho, a freelancer of the UFLO,"
The red-haired woman held the sides of her dress and gave a small courtesy.
"I have heard a lot about you these last few days," She said. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you,"
"The pleasure is all mine," Folorunsho bowed and took her hand.
"Let's put a hold on the introductions for now," The head Immortalis clapped. "We have a train to catch!"
The four made their way to the fastest means of transport on Pedtro; The Green Current Railway. The Green Current Railway was owned by the Green Current Company that specialised transportation, from short distance hovercrafts to star faring space ships. One of their greatest inventions yet was their electromagnetic railway that allowed for the trains to be propelled magnetically in a matter of minutes. Thanks to them, reaching Shandel, which would have taken days, could be done in 10 minutes.
The crowd of people at the Raudis Railway Station began to swarm as the train's arrival was announced. With a loud crack, the train appeared hovering over the once empty rails. The vehicle's magnitised bottom whirred loudly before turning off and falling down on the tracks below. The doors opened and everyone made their way in.
"Are we going to take a seat?" Folorunsho asked as they entered.
"Here?" Kenan retorted. "Amongst the common folk? Oh no! I've reserved the best seats in the house for us,"
The group made their way to the second train carriage. The door swung open revealing several seats covered in exquisite leather and tables made from marbled dark oak. The floor was covered with a thick grey carpet that released a deep fragrance whenever it was stepped on. The quality of this carriage made the others they had gone through seem like cardboard boxes on wheels.
"You sure know how to travel in style," Folorunsho commented.
Kenan face a wide smile in response. Once all passengers were seated and their tickets checked, the train went off. As the ride went on, Folorunsho could not help but notice Ingrid's eyes were on him, her orbs of blue unblinking in their stare. He gave a small wave back at her but she gave no reaction. Unable to bear the gaze any longer, Folorunsho stood to his feet and went to the door.
"I'm going to use the bathroom real quick," He announced.
Diane gave a nod in response, her attention not shifting from the magazine in her hand. Kenan smiled widely. Ingrid continued to stare, sending a shiver down his spine before he left. As he made his way through the carriages until he reached the dedicated bathroom. As he stepped into small carriage, someone came came out of the stalls.
The figure that stepped out of the stall had a black hood on. His head turned to face and his eyes showed that he recognised Folorunsho. The two glared at each other wordlessly. Folorunsho turned around and walked to the door behind him. The hooded figure did the same. Two clicks rang from both sides, sealing the carriage. The two turned to face each other again and rushed into combat.
Revel enveloped Folorunsho as he reinforced his body. He let out a kick but the constrained space of the stall limited his range. The hooded figure swiftly dodged the attack and slammed the freelancer into the ground. The figure mounted his chest and threw a punch at his face. Folorunsho moved his head to the side to evade. He immediately grabbed the figure by the shirt and pulled him in closer, landing a headbutt on his nose.
The hooded figure groaned his pain as got to his feet. Folorunsho took the opportunity and spun on his back. As he was spinning, went on to his hands and swept the figure off his feet. He lealt the his feet and followed up with a kick but the figure rolled out of the way. The figure tried to tackle Folorunsho again, but his attempt was made to a punch to the face, sending him crashing into a stall's door.
Not letting up, Folorunsho went in with a flying knee, knocking the door off it's hinges. The two found themselves in and even more confined space, but that did not stop them. The figure took off the lid off of the toilet tank and tried to bash Folorunsho over the head hit it. The freelancer blocked the attack with his arms, sending more Revel to reinforce them, causing the lid to break. Some of the porcelain dust got into the figure's eyes, blinding him. At that movement Folorunsho grabbed the top of the stall behind him and pulled himself up. He jumped from the top of the stall and landed a people's elbow on the hooded figure's head. The figure immediately crashed into the toilet blow,.breaking it apart from the sheer force at which he fell.
The figure was immediately knocked unconscious from the attack. Folorunsho walked over to the tank and flushed the toilet and flushed it, causing all its water to spray all over the figure.
"Clean up on Stall one,"
Folorunsho made his way out the stall and went to get Diane. As he went through the carriages, he happened to pass by a man with hair so black, it came off as a deep shade of blue. But this man went on unnoticed.
