Enrollment was crazy. Too many people, not enough discipline. A huge percentage of students were just lazing about. Mimicking mob npc as much as possible.
The college of fine arts was crazy. At first glance, it looks like there are only four types of people there. Females. Males that think they are females. Males that are chasing the females. Vince belongs to the fourth type. A normal student.
It's not that Vince hated females. It's just that he spent such a long time being alone that he has no idea about them. One book says that college girls (and boys) will be hormonal at this age. Making them not normal.
But boys have always been weird and as a boy himself, Vince will always have insider information about them.
After enrolling, Vince visited the school gym. His current physique can enable him to excel in a lot of sports. However, he is particular about the kind of sports that he must join. Boxing is what he wanted after giving it a lot of thought.
Joining the Boxing club has a couple of benefits. For one, it would keep the normal bullies away. Seeing a big tough guy beat people up legally would frighten some weak bullies.
Two, ever since getting the karma enabler ability, Vince found out that he likes using this ability. Not only does it enhances his body, it also allows him to cause others pain. Joining the Boxing club will allow him to determine if he just likes hurting people or he likes the idea of dispensing justice.
Three, even if others say otherwise, Vince believed that boxing is not a team sport. You won't be dragged down by piglike teammates.
Sarah is the current advisor for the Boxing club. Because the school required each club to have one advisor (teacher) and a minimum of seven members (students) before it can be an official club, Sarah was persuaded to become the Boxing club's advisor.
The previous advisor, Mr, Rudy (P.E. teacher) took an emergency leave and could only ask the new teacher to take over the Boxing club.
Sarah observed Vince as he looked around the gym. The new student diligently visited each table and listened carefully to the club representatives explanation. However, it is only when he reached the Boxing club's table that the new student picked up a membership form and filled it out.
There are no good boxers in the Boxing club. Sarah verified that through asking several teachers and students. It's not that there are no boxers in the school, it's just that Teacher Rudy kicked out any student that doesn't follow the rules.
With teacher Rudy running a tight ship, the Boxing club became a club for those students that simply want a place to train. As long as they follow the rules of the club, they can continue to be a member.
To Sarah, who suddenly got the Boxing club, she would want the club to obtain medals and trophies in the school tournament. She would be satisfied for getting one win. And Vince joining means she could have that win.
.....
Vince visited the school on a Saturday. Holding map, he leisurely walked around. Checking the names of the rooms in each building and noting some of them on his map.
After a few hours, Vince went to the gym where he found the advisor, Sarah.
Sarah is a new instructor for the ethics class. She has prepared for her ethics class, however, she isn't prepared for the club activities. Hence, she went to the gym even though it is Saturday and class hasn't started yet.
This is why Sarah wanted to visit the gym on Saturday. She wanted to get a feel of the place before the start of the class. Maybe check the supplies cabinet, count the Boxing gloves and other stuff. As well as check the clinic for whatever supplies they can provide for the club.
Vince observed Sarah as she checked everything and he approved of her. Using the eyeglass on her, the floating words are small and barely visible.
After leaving the school, Vince went to the mall to find a shop to buy Boxing gloves, shoes and a few other essentials.
.....
The first day of school was spent on introduction. Everyone was curious about him being homeschooled. He patiently answered each question with a smile. No one noticed that Vince was wearing an eyeglass.
One to three words can be seen on each individual when viewed through the eyeglass. Some of them have darker auras. From experience, Vince knew that these people are those that were able to get away with doing bad stuff. They can be bullies, alcoholic, cheaters and other unpleasant people.
While wearing the eyeglass, Vince felt a malicious gaze. Even though he is sitting at the back and only the teacher is facing him, Vince felt four malicious gazes. These came from the floating words on the heads of four students. He knew that these people wants to deal with him.
It was thanks to these gazes that Vince was able to pinpoint pickpockets from a crowd. This side ability ensures that two faced people wouldn't be able to fool him.
....
Wendy found it weird that two other students from Pima Elementary School attended the same school, same course and are even in the same morning batch. One other student she could understand but two. She cannot fathom how can such a thing happen. Unless it's not a coincidence.
Wendy knew Alfred because he is Mrs Alrol's son. He might not have openly harrassed Vince but he was the one who took the wallet and placed it on a bag which he then placed on Vince's chair.
The pampered little devil got away with a lot of things with his mother in the school. When Mrs Alrol was fired, Alfred turned into a quiet and rule abiding student. Though Wendy would often hear Alfred cursing Vince, when he thinks he is alone in class.
When Wendy thought about it, it shouldn't be surprising to see Alfred chase after Vince. Ever since the twin videos (the one on the gate and the one on the cafeteria) appeared on social media (courtesy of Wendy) Mrs Alrol's life hasn't been good.
She no longer leaves her house due to shame. A leader in the local church who preachers every week about forgiveness has acted that way towards a child. How could those church members tolerate her?
Wendy even heard of the rumor that Mrs Alrol only advocated forgiveness because she is a child abuser and wants others to forgive her character if and when she got caught.
In the past years, Mrs Alrol has shown that she is genuine in her remorse and has tried to own up to her mistakes. To show her that they have forgiven her, the officials, who are also church leaders, has tried to find ways to take down the twin videos.
They requested that the five clearly fake accounts be deleted together with its posts. Money was spent to pay off certain newsites and blogs to delete the videos. They managed to convince all except one. Vince has pinned those videos in his social media account.
Dexter is the only one that is connected to Vince's social media account. But the account isn't private. It was really easy to check the videos. It was only because Vince is being homeschooled and been basically a shut in for years that no one else has visited Vince's social media account.
That would change as soon as Vince makes new friends in college. Before the mistakes of the past resurface and hurt Mrs Alrol again, Alfred might have enrolled in fine arts to beg Vince to delete the videos.
Alfred's first plan was to convince Vince through force. They are both underage and Alfred can lie about it and say that Vince targeted him because he hated Alfred's mother.
That plan went out the window when Alfred saw Vince on the first day of school.
Vince looks like he spent several years in the gym. One classmate even joked that Vince has just finished his tour of duty and is now ready to live a normal life.
Alfred can only try to use logic and maybe add a few tears so that Vince will be convinced to delete the videos.
